BoomtownSearch: Big Ol Truck by: Toby Keith Release Date June 05, 2007 I got this on recommendation from a friend. Although I like Country Western music in the older styles of Willie Nelson and George Jones, I was kind of turned off by this one. I just found the lyrics to be rather silly and juvenile and although Toby has a good voice and can play guitar well, it just was not to my liking. I would recommend later releases like Unleashed and Shock'n Y'all which are much stronger CD's of his and have more bang for the buck. |

Although I like Country Western music in the older styles of Willie Nelson and George Jones, I was kind of turned off by this one. ChroniclesSearch: Big Ol Truck by: Toby Keith Release Date June 21, 2005 This is very odd. In 1998 Garth Brooks had success when he put out a box set with a similiar theme. However for some artists that kind of treatment doesn't work and it falls flat. I like Toby Keith but this box set is just a way for a record company to make money buy repackaging three CD's (None of which are any good or have any worth) and make an extra buck. It's just sad. |
