phew - this is pretty much the '90s version of "wiped out" for us ..a little more varied - but after the success of the "destroy all monsters" 1995 live cd... we wanted this album to reflect the feeling on the live album... and we succeeded! highlights? "blind eye" with my air raid siren intro.. "no pain no gain" easily THE most nuts song we'd done in years...although "insane" gives it a run for its money...some mid tempo rockers like "hungry" & the mini-epic "wilderness of broken glass" round it out - look for the bit of queen finishing "get your finger out"...joes take on 30's movie dialog...and the horror of our rehearsing....ha! cheers, john

Another pretty good Rush live album. Perhaps it isn't better than Rio or rush 30 but stills good. Passage to Bangkok, Circumstances and Mission are the surprises. The new material is good alive.

This is a really good album...I thought that I would dislike it, being a strong fan of 2112, Fly by Night, and A Farewell to Kings. I am glad to say that I was mistaken. It is not as good as the albums listed above, but it catches them in the middle of their synth period. This album is really catchy and has great singing. It shows how diverse Rush can be. Recomended to the moderate fan, but not a casual fan.

It's very rare these days to find an album which is enjoyable from the first note to the last. Spin has been a staple in my cd collection since it came out. Heartfelt songs of love, loss, and monkey shoes...it doesn't get much better. The musicianship is superb, and the songwriting top notch. If you're a fan of U2, Vertical Horizon, and Matchbox 20, this cd has a home in your collection!
