This is a New Age CD in which they blend Natures sounds with synthetic keyboards. It is a peaceful and relaxing incorporating the sounds of panpipes and flutes and harps to the background of the oceans peaceful waves. It incorporates moody and joyful soft instrumental music set to the sounds of nature for a very relaxing and enjoyable sound of nature and invigorating Celtic songs. If you close your eyes you can almost imagine yourself in a place before modern day with the stars and nature as your guide. I highly enjoyed this CD and recommend it to all.

On the first CD in this 2-disc set, guitarist William Paterson plays gentle Celtic tunes on an acoustic guitar. There are hundreds of such recordings out there, and this one probably isn't much different than any of its counterparts, but the guitar playing on "Celtic Inspirations" is very good, the arrangements are nice, and the source material is much more interesting than your average, meandering New Age "oohs" and "aahs." I cannot tell by the cataloging information on this page if the second CD in this 2-disc set is by Paterson too, or not. However, I own the first one as a single, and can at least attest to the fact that it's a nice, pleasant album to relax to or get a massage to, and that my version is enhanced by occasional sounds ... There are several contenders for the title of "greatest recording of a major opera: the TOSCA starring Callas and Gobbi, and the all star Guilini recording of DON GIOVANNI; Sir Georg Solti's RING cycle. I have a new contender for the title: This recording of ALBERT HERRING. Not because this is one of the greatest operas ever written; Britten was no Mozart, Strauss or Puccini. It's not even the greatest Opera Britten ever wrote: I rank it below PETER GRIMES. But the Recording has so many strong points and virtually no defects that to ignore it on any list of the greatest opera recordings would be a sin.
The first of many advantages is that this recording has the Composer at the podium. Britten is able to put every subtle emotion ... Read More:

This recording of Albert Herring is superb. It took some time to track down, in truth - and now it has competition from Hickox on Chandos, but I still feel that this recording has the edge. Not least is this due to Bedford, who has Britten in his blood, and understands all the intricacies of the score. It really does rank alongside Britten's best work. There is touching, sometimes sexy music for Sid and Nancy, the splendidly naughty scene in Lady Billows' house, and pastiche upon pastiche - pastorale, Mozart, English Church music - and, my favourite, a snatch of Tristan as the fateful lemonade is poured.
Bedford holds it together and brings out the detail in spades in a tightly knit performance expertly played by the small band. ... Read More:
