This must be the TOP of the LIVE c.d.'s he has brought out! This is right up there with his Living Ornaments '79, '80, '81, and White Noise. Which are in my opinion very powerful LIVE c.d.'s. It's to bad that Eagle did not bring out this recording earlier, Great selection of songs and Numans voice sounds amazing!

I was blown away when I first discovered the music of Jean Luc Ponty back in the seventies! There is no other artist alive who has done as much to stretch the boundaries of violin music as expertly and creatively as this man has! With his inovative use of synthesizers, Echoplex machines, sequencers and distortion boxes (devices normally associated with electric guitars), Ponty developed a signature sound that set him apart from all other violinists, regardless of genre.

True, Todd does not have the popularity of other AWARE artists like John Mayer and Will Hoge, but he is just as an accomplished singer song-writer. Hearing him live makes his distinctive voice sound even better. A good purchase for anyone not a slave to top 40 generic music.

The recordings here are pretty uniformly great for a myriad of reasons. Basically, the music takes my heart back to a place that I loved for thirteen years of my life in a way that nothing else can. Also, the mementos included, among them a K&B film envelope with authentic photos of musicians who performed at Preservation Hall are priceless. For those of you reading this that don't know what I'm talking about, unfortunately, for you, you probably never truly will. But everyone else who's blood ran K&B purple...you'll just love this.
