I bought this recording in 1997 and it quickly became a favourite. Quartetto Gelato is absolutely wonderful. I went to one of their concerts in Philadelphia and was absolutely amazed by their virtuosity and versatility. It was the most fun that I've ever had at a classical concert.

They perform some things from the standard repertoire. The violinist/tenor Peter DeSotto has an absolutely beautiful voice. They also play many other things that you might not normally hear, such as Antonio Pasculli's Concerto Sopri Motivi dall'Opera la Favorita di Donizetti.

Renaissance, Vol. 2

John Digweed leaves off were Renaissance 1 ended. This collection, though long out of print really exemplifies why I got into this music in the first place. The mixing is spectacular and here in 2003 some of the songs sound outdated. However, this compilation accurately captures a moment in time in dance music history and shows you a little of what things were like in 1995. This is truly uplifting progressive house. I own all the early renaissance mixes and this one still touches me in that special way and just gets me up wanting to dance. If you can, pick this one up, you won't be disappointed. This one includes all the classics with sexy vocals. Its very contemporary still. Cheers!! rock the vote:)

This guy is not Hiphop he is an embarasment to the world of Hiphop. I am beyond tired with Daddy Yankit, Shawn Poo and all of these other wanabe reggae latin crap rip off artists. this guys voice is just one party reefer stripclub monotone through out the entire album. this CD has absolutely NO lyrical content. dont even get me started on the music because every song on this album sounds exactly the same. Bob Marley is probably turning in his grave. 0 stars

First let me say that I think Scott is definitely one of the very best guitarists on the planet. I saw him perform many times when I was a student at Musicians Institute. His best work however can be found on the following recordings when he was with Tribal Tech: Dr Hee, Nomad and their fourth recording simply titled "Tribal Tech." This fourth recording is the band at their peak .As Tribal Tech went forward the band went into more and more jams with the compositions suffering .Finally Scott went off into his blues / whammy phase which is without a doubt a step down and this Collection is a compilation from this later period .
