Drunken Moon

from: Lime Green Productions

Release Date July 15, 2007
Simply put, this disk is beautiful music beautifully performed. Kieren MacMillan's "Drunken Moon" sets a fascinating variety of poems with deep sensitivity and poignancy. Tom Albert's "Night Music" is at times shimmering, unsettling, calm, and humorous; it is always exquisitely crafted and colorful.

This disk will please both the new music novice and the serious technician. A compelling union of beauty and craft. Strongly recommended!!

Ok. First off this cd is pretty expensive. But it has some cool high energy trance songs that are very catchy and could be played as background music at a party or etc. Other than that this cd is pretty pathetic. I personally think Tracks 1,5,11,12 and 13 were the best songs on this cd but besides those highlights the rest are typical pathetic trance songs and trance remakes of other trance songs. Also the mixing of this cd is worthless, i noticed that they used all radio edits on all the songs on this cd and you can tell that at the last 10 seconds of each track they start rushing in the next song which makes the music seem like it was all clipped together. You can definitely tell when listening closely to the lead out of "tess - the second you ... Read More:

I have no idea how this Comp. is supposed to be Trance. This is a far cry from Trance, even house style. Listen to the sound clips before you buy. Its just plain ole tired house music. If you are looking for House with more a "Techno" feel, so to say, then try the Webster Hall "Tranzworld" Series. I believe a box set is avaiable for the series. Even though it starts at the mid 90's, and works its way up through the years, its still a great comp. and house music really hasnt changed a hullva lot since that time period. (at least I dont hear much diffrence expect it has seem to get more "poppy"

from: Fonit

Release Date October 01, 2002
Source: Studio recording made on October 11, 1956 in Torino. Like many publications of the Italian Cetra organization, I presume that it was initially used for broadcast, then subsequently issued for sale to the public.

Sound: Good 1950s Italian mono. A 2002 digital remastering has eliminated the notorious Cetra hard edge to reveal a quite decent soundscape.

Cast: Mefistofele - Giulio Neri; Faust - Ferruccio Tagliavini; Margherita - Marcella Pobbe; Marta - Ebe Ticozzi; Wagner / Nereo - Armando Benzi; Elena - Disma De Cecco; Pantalis - Ede Marietti Gandolfo. Conductor: Angelo Questa with the Orchestra Simfonico di Torino della RAI and Coro del Teatro Regio di Torino.

Text: The original, six-hour version of "Mefistofele" ... Read More:
