What needs to be said about the Dixie Chicks and their first two albums with Natalie Maines as lead singer? Perhaps you, like myself, got interested in their music after Natalie's comment about George W. Bush. Or perhaps you made the mistake of throwing their CD's out to be crushed, only to realize three years later that they were right all along, and now wish you can be forgiven. It does not matter. Songs like Cowboy Take Me Away, Wide Open Spaces and Goodbye Earl are all time classics. If you paid no attention to these songs before, you have no idea what you are missing. You will enjoy them no matter how often you listen to them. There must be some new interest in the Dixie Chicks in Europe for them to re-release these two CD's in one ... Read More:

I really love these girls and the songs on this album are incredible. Even if you don't like country I think you can find something to enjoy on this album. The songs are full of hope about love and happiness and they make me happy when I listen to them. I often have to stop what I'm doing just to listen to a song. Despite what their political history is...they are amazing and incredible artists that can't be denied - give this album a chance if you want to hear some lovely tunes.

Seldom have I had the pleasure of listening to a group that is as enjoyable as this band. Kasey Chambers has the voice of a slightly flawed angel... I have heard it described as a million dollar crack in her voice. I have all their albums, and listen to them, but this one has most of their best. (I have seldom seen a "Best Of" album that is what I call, the Best of, but this is close.)

Do yourself a favour and take a listen to Till Now: Very Best Of, for it nearly is. You will not hear any of these on radio stations in Canada, and that is a pity, really, for they could use this sort of class.
