I really enjoyed listenind to this CD it took back to the time when music was soothing and oh so satisfying. (smile)Hearing Step Into My World again after so many years was exciting and refreshing.

I had only played Toby Keith's 35 Biggest Hits album for the first time and it was already among my favourite CDs. I hadn't heard a lot of his older songs and so I found the first CD on the double disk album a completly new experience and I loved every song I heard! While disk one is more ballady and from the 90's era, disk two is more of the recent funnier songs. I couldn't believe it was only around $11.99 USD (which came to about the same AUD at this time) and I would have payed that much just for the new single on there 'She's a Hottie' which I dare anyone to listen to and not be inspired to dance.
It's a great CD to have for parties or for one long Toby indulgence. I can't stop playing it and think it's a great price!

This seemingly routine album has some absoulte gems in it: Webb's hauntingly beautiful I was too busy loving you, Ruth, A Woman's Touch, and a stunning version of McCartney's Mull of Kintyre, all rendered in Glen's purest and most sincere warm and honey-tinted tenor. The remaining songs have a way of growing on you and becoming part of you.
Release Date March 13, 2007
This CD is one of my personal favorites by Toby. Besides the obvious reason that they are most of Toby's early hits, I love the song "A Woman's Touch", and I love the way the songs are put in chronological order so you can hear how his amazing songwriting and singing ability grew through the years. Though, in all honesty, I really don't see how he could improve on "Cowboy"- one of my favorites... but he did.
I highly recommend this CD for anyone who is a fan of Toby Keith's God-given talents and abilities!

Unlike most Tom Jones best of collections, this focuses on his country-oriented material in great sound. The songs are arranged in chronological order and span the years 1967-1984, 11 tracks in all. The first 4 songs are mainly covers of songs that were previously recorded by country artists including "Green, Green Grass of Home" and "Detroit City," Track 5 is his only #1 country chart hit, Say You'll Stay Until Tomorrow, which was also a #15 hit on the Hot 100 and the rest of the CD consists of highlights from his country chart output for Mercury Records including "Darlin'", a top 20 country hit in 1981, which Bonnie Raitt previously recorded for the "Urban Cowboy" soundtrack, a cover of the John Conlee classic "Lady Lay Down," that peaked at #26 ... I discovered this CD while browsing and I must admit I never heard of Ricky Fante' until now, he reminds me of the soul of Sam Cook mixed with the grit of Otis Redding. It's like the mid to late 60's music with an urban twist of Neo soul, I'll pen the term of Neo Philly Blues. If you listen to this with a three finger shot of scotch you'll agree, I say way to go Mr. Fante', you brought good listening music back with this one.

A fine album containing electro jazz elements, with quite a funky and edgy rythm, experimenality AND innovation .A BEATIFULL ALBUM FOR SHARP MINDS.Yes it is a very very interesting and unique recording.
Release Date July 05, 2004
Unlike the countless neo-soul crooners doing their best impersonations of 1970s-era icons like Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, D.C. native Ricky Fante takes us back even further with a raspy, impassioned style askin to Wilson Pickett's and Otis Redding's - sings like the lost child of Pickett and Redding. The music is gritty, funky soul that borrows equally from the fervor of Southern gospel and the hard-driving energy of R&B. Punchy horns, chicken-scratch guitars, tight rhythm sections, and Ricky's passionate, gospel-tinged voice seduce listeners.
A masterful slice of Southern soul on the low-key intensity of "I Let You Go" - hoarse, gritty vocals, brassy arrangements, and an emotional way. The number sounds like the fraternal twin of Otis ... Read More:
