I first heard the title track from Immortal Memory on uTube and knew that I had to have the CD. Of course my local music store didn't carry it so I searched on Amazon. The entire recording from Lisa Gerrard and Patrick Cassidy is amazing! Hauntingly beautiful, seductive and completely thought provoking. A great CD to play for a romantic dinner or meditation, or whenever one needs to come down from a stressful day

HIGHLIGHTS: Deep Forest's Boheme is easily one of the best ethno-techno albums. Not just a pale imitator of Enigma, Frenchmen Eric Mouquet and Michel Sanchez are avid samplers, apt musicians, and combine mostly European vocals (although some sound Asian and African in origin) on this sophomore outing with their own instrumental arrangements. The riffs are memorable, the tracks are rich and mature -- most are radio-friendly-length -- and just about whenever they're presented with, like master chefs, Mouquet and Sanchez synthesize into a delicious stew.
There are no weak tracks on Boheme, altho some arguably shine more than others: "Marta's song", which I saw a documentary on the making of on MOR Music many years ago, has a hypnotic, entrancing ... Read More:

Having become attached to Erhu music while living in Korea, I've purchased several CDs of Erhu music. This one is my favorite.

This is one of the best CDs of Brazilian music that I've heard. The music world truly lost a musical genius with Suba's untimely death. RIP.

This is the music to the HBO Documentary: The children of Agape Choir. The story of the orphanes living at Agape Orphanage and their lives over 3 years.
It is a heart warming and at times heart breaking story that takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride. You will laugh and you will cry when you see this story.
The music is just wonderful and I love listening to it. The children made this CD to ensure their home could be rebuilt (it burnt down a few years ago) and that they can go to school, eat and have clothes.
All proceeds of this CD will go to the Agape Orphanage. So you will not only get some nice music but also do something good for those wonderful kids at Agape.
The DVD is also available and I would highly!!!! recommend it too. The title ... Read More:

This record is outstanding. I don't know why it hasn't caught on as well as, say, Tinariwen or Salif Keita or Baaba Maal. Maybe these guys haven't been around as long as those others but they are, IMO, as good. That's high praise but they deserve it.
This group develops a warm, organic Afro-beat sound using solely acoustic instruments, as far as I can tell. The pieces have a hypnotic rhythm that is augmented by the rich vocal work (sometimes from female guest singers, other times from the men themselves). The songs seem to average four or five minutes in length but they are the kind of rolling, easygoing tunes that I wish went on forever. In spirit they remind me a bit of Tinariwen, if that means anything to you; they are kind of trance-inducing and dreamy, although ... Read More:

Ozomatli, how could you go wrong? Tasty latin, world, jazz, hip hop, salsa. How many bands can play that many styles? Ozomatli can.
Ozomatli show how you should do a 9 piece band. Please, let's not even mention Slipknot. This band actually uses each band member, you know, instead of Slipknot, who sound like they use one of their guitarist, corey, and the drums pretty much the whole time (come on, you have a sampler, a dj, two percussionists, two guitarists, a bassist, a drummer, you idiots. USE THEM!!!). It's really some interesting stuff to listen to. Though the songwriting sometimes seems to falter. I don't know, but it sometimes seems to be a bit okay, not merely awesome, either great or good.

CD was very good.
It is amazing that group came up with superb idea of mixing african and celtic music and it worked well.
Amazon.com editorial is misleading as it refers to some sounds coming from Armenia??? Eastern sounds in some songs have Turk origins, not Armenian.
Despite the poor editorial, buying this CD will be worth the money.
