I am so grateful that this was not the first Natacha Atlas album I ever heard, because I would never have gone on to discover the wonders of her other works. This is absolute garbage. If you want gorgeous music expressive of Middle Eastern traditional music, Ana Hina is a wealth of wonders. If you want dance music, Diaspora is full of infectious grooves and surprises. This album takes boredom to a new level.

I just saw Mr. Hart perform, which helps bring this DVD-A in perspective. Terrific, inspiring, mesmorizing. It can send you places. I actually like the material from the recent concert even better than that on the DVD, but the tracks are still great, especially "sweet sixteen" and the last track, which, alone, make this worth buying. The sound quality and the use of 5 channels is one of the best I've ever heard in 5 channel DVD-A or SACD. The sense of space and "air" is incredible and the voices and harmonics coming through the rears are amazing. Beautiful tunes, even though I do not speak French, still I enjoyed the songs very much.
Natasha has a voice sounds better than Lara Fabian to me.
Nevertheless both are great singers with beautiful songs to offer.

A friend recommended this CD last year, I did not believe her at first but after played songs 1, 4 and 6 I become in love with Nayoua's voice and the great performance in her songs. The beat is great and I'm 100% sure that you will enjoy it as well.

Those who enjoy the music of Silvio Rodriguez will love Spanish "cantautor" Luis Eduardo Aute. In Autorretratos (Vols. 1 and 2) Aute presents us with the cream of the cream of his musical crop. There's simply not a bland song in here. "Belleza", "Cada Vez Que Me Amas" and "Dos o Tres Segundos de Ternura" are just some of the best ones. If you can understand Spanish you're bound to enjoy it twice as much, but even if you don't, you will still be floored with his beautiful music. If you enjoy this one and Silvio Rodriguez, then make sure you pick up "Mano a Mano" a live duet by the two where they sing in tandem each other's music.
