Like the title says, the production on this record is terrible. Which makes most of the cd terrible If you liked straight outta compton you probably won't like this one, too "east coast" for me.

I'm going to take a different approach to reviewing albums on Amazon. Instead of going in depth on each album and describe each album in detail, i'm going to simply rate each album with how many stars I feel each album is worth based on the below criteria. I hope this helps you make a better decision on purchasing this album with a simple individual rating. If it doesn't help read another review.
5 stars- Classic, Album goes beyond description, Perfect in every way, Could remind you of a certain time or place, Lifetime replay value.
4.5 stars- Near Classic, Incredible album, Maybe only one song that is skippable or just overall doesn't quite deserve classic status. High replay value.
4.0 stars- Awesome album. Very solid album from ... Read More:

This is a good CD to purchase if you're down with Hyphy Music and if you're a fan of Keak. I wasn't a fan of Keak at first because of his voice, but once I started LISTENING to what he was saying the voice is what made it tight and I've been hooked since!! The only complaint I have about this CD is that there are too many guest appearances. Some of those cats should have been left off. Other than that, the beats slap and Keak comes with it with his flows. Don't knock it until you LISTEN to it.

Ice Cube's soundtrack to accompany the 1995 movie is a well-balanced mix of gangsta rap, g-funk, and cool R&B (some of it old-school soul). Dr. Dre's "Keep Their Heads Ringin'" is an all around fun time classic that got constant rotation in my native Southern Cali in spring of 1995. The beat is some sick deep-groove funk produced by Sam Sneed, a sick g-funk producer from Pittsburgh, Pa. Ice Cube'e "Friday" is a classic house party joint with a flamboyant lowrider beat. We also get Rick James 1978 classic, the laidback and soulful weed ode, "Mary Jane," a song sampled 1000 times (or more) for rap joints. We also get some Miami booty bass on ther raunchy "Hoochie Mama." We also get to sample some sweet Rose Royce, the soul packed "I Wanna Get Next ... Read More:

This album gets five stars for the following reasons. 1. It doesnt betray its purpose with silly records like Get Ignit and Lights Out. 2. The production was hard. None of that street party music the second album had. 3. Ice Cube was always on point, and WC and Mack10 shine right along with him. This album reminds of NWA's N***az4Life. Uncompromising gangsta rap at its finest. Standout Track: BOW DOWN, GANGSTAS MAKE THE WORLD GO ROUND, ALL THE CRITICS IN NEW YORK(NYC needs to be dissed for giving a talentless stoolbucket like Puffy a pass), THE GANGSTA THE KILLER& THE DOPE DEALER, DO YOU LIKE CRIMINALS, CROSS EM OUT AND PUT A K (Cube and Mac10 take shots at Cypress Hill and Q-tip), KING OF THE HILL(continued assault on Cypress Hill on this dope diss record), ... Tupac is definantly in the top five rappers of all time, but when I was going through my CD's, I realized I didn't have any, so I went to Amazon a couple of weeks later to get 2Pacalypse Now, but ut was kind of expensive, so I got the soundtrack to Resurrection. I wasn't really expecting much since it was cheap, but it was honestly really good. I liked all the songs, not one is even slightly stupid. R.I.P Tupac

Many people might not remember Digital Underground, and if they do, they probably remember the debut single "The Humpty Dance". Digital Underground consited of: Shock G., Humpty Hump, Fuze, Money B., Kenny K. (and later on 2Pac, Saafir, and Pee Wee). The whole album has a mix of goofy tales mixed with a laid back vibe, at the same time can make you dance at some points.
Aside from the lead single, there are many funky tracks all over this album. "The Way We Swing" is a laid back head nodder. "Gutfest '89" has a funny concept behind it. "Danger Zone" is inspired by The Parlament with a recognizable sample used in that song. I believe the best track on the album is "Doowhutchyalike", that song is hilarious. "Sex Packets" is another long and mellow track ... Read More:
