I have been listening to this cd now since 1996 when i was in High school and it brings me back every time/every song. This was an awesome cd and still is. people up&coming in the game study it and use it in their own way. you can hear pac in countless people. Pac's spirit will always be there. The remixed version of some of his songs don't do it justice but some are cool as a newer feeling. all in all this is the best rap cd for me. give it a try if your part of my generation if your young you probably will never understand pac's influence on people...

This movie is something of a cult thing anyway so it's not suprising that the people I know who like it as much as I do, have done things like buy a red Swingline stapler (made after the movie gained cult status) and want to listen to the songs on this which are NOT mainstream music. I mostly wanted it for the track, "Shove this Jay-Oh-Bee" but I also enjoy others like "Damn it feels good to be a gangsta".

I've always thought the Black Eyed Peas were reminiscent of The B-52s. It's not that their sound is so much like theirs' (They sound nothing alike.), it's that they have the same quirky, fun, spirit.
This is the way pop music should be. It's incredibly corny, the lyrics are dumb and shallow, but it just sounds right.
You can tell they don't take themselves too seriously, and that's a good thing... to me at least.

There are a couple of old Bone hits on this CD, but if you're a true Bone fan looking to get back in the Bone groove, it's a better idea to just re-purchase Creepin on a Come Up and/or E1999. Dont get me wrong, there are some hits on this CD, but it's missing a LOT of other Bone Hits. Disc 1 is cool, but Disc 2 is full of Bone songs I had never even heard of which are NOT hits. Seems like they were trying to sneak some newer Bone in with the old school stuff.

I really won't go real deep into this one on why it's not favorited by many of Snoop fans. First of all, anyone with a half of ounce of common sense would have realized that this "Doggystyle 2" is never going to come out. Second, Snoop does his little experimental songs, which might send many opinions in a different direction. With his lead single "Sensual Seduction" has him singing a few notes, which really didn't appeal to this listener. Another off the wall song was when Snoop goes the country route on "My Medicine" featuring Everlast (All Hip Hop said this is what happens when you are making too much money and are bored with rap...lol). Hearing "Cool" reminds me of an early 80's retro beat, which sounds very annoying.

I got to hear this entire album played today on an online broadcast for a small radio station. Coming in in the middle, like the first listeners to Orson Welles's "War of the World's" broadcast, I must confess that I initially thought the fictional story of "Sister Fatima" -- over-layed like a local DJ's mix of news onto the album tracks -- to be a genuine retrospective of some real events -- that's how accurate the story was to similar aspects of our real-life world, at least in parts. (I caught on when the Governor who backed her execution in the storyline actually cared when he got caught).
What made this album move me was the accuracy in the portrayal of voices. The Sister Fatima's bravery reminded me so much of people I've admired -- friends and icons -- ... Read More:

Man I can't believe it took so a long time to buy this classic album! Cypress Hill are by far one of the best Latino rap groups to walk the face of the earth. This stuff was hot as ever back in the day, and nearly 15 years later people still ride to it. This album gives a good look at the Latino and Hispanic/gangsta lifestyle. Here's my track guide:
1. I Wanna Get H*gh / 10/10, this is real dope material that isn't made anymore! The horn at the beginning is simply entrancing.
2. I Ain't Goin' Out Like That / 8/10, this is a pretty cool rap, it's catchy and has smart lyrics. Cypress have got to be geniuses if sample the lengendary Black Sabbath
3. Insane In The Brain / 10/10, legendary material that make you want to get up and dance everytime you hear ... Read More:

I would like to first state that you should not be thrown off by the 3 stars. I have been a fan of The Game since 2004 back when i was into gangster rap. Now in 2008 i listen to a completely different type of music and no long listen to the old artists that i once loved, that is except for Game. I am no longer a fan of the west coast like i was but for some reason i have always enjoyed Games albums. Now lots of people love the production on this album but i dont think its as impressive as they say, its good but it didnt blow me away. Also lyrically game is average, so why do i continue to listen to game? he just makes good songs, his flow and style make up for what he lacks in the lyrics department. Anyways i love this album even though i could only give it a 3 star rating. Listen to ... Read More:

The Game is the most recent Westcoast rapper to go big and he is now one of the diving foces to the upbringing of west coast music again. Like Dr. Dre did in the early 90's is wat The Game is trying to do in the present and that is to make westcoast music appeal to the rest of the country and maybe around the world. The Game started to make it bug back in 2004 when he was still part of G-Unit with his debut single "How We Do" wit former boss 50 Cent then later leading up to the Games commerical debut album "The Documentary" which got critical praise for being one of the best rap albums from the West in a very long time...Then during 05-06 tensions began to rise between the two and eventually forcing The Game to leave G-Unit and also leaving Aftermath records including mentor Dr. Dre which was one of ...
