Release Date June 10, 2003
well after listening to this CD a bunch of times, i like it better than I initially did. love the fact that they used band of gypsies on track 2 because i loved that original album with hendrix, buddy miles and band of gypsies with message of love, etc. also love kiss me and i'll kiss you back and give the man his props or whatever that song is called; i think it is track 9. the lyrics are pretty entertaining throughout the entire CD. great bass player. like it because it isn't too nasty and doesn't refer to women as bitches and ho's.

by: Dr. Dre

Release Date December 28, 1999
This cd revitalized the hip-hop/rap world. Dre is one of, if not the, best producers out there. Just listen to the beats he makes. Not only does he make all his own beats, but he makes some for Eminem, 50 Cent, G-Unit, Mary J., Busta Rhymes, Warren G, and the list goes on and on. The lyrics to these songs are amazing, but when you listen to the beat alone, damn it just blows you away. You get a different feeling listenin to just the beat without the words. For all the people who are against rap and say its not real music. Buy this cd and just listen to it. There is no possible way for anyone who likes any kind of music to listen to this and say its crap. You have to listen to it to appreciate the many layers Dre puts into his beats. Ony fan ... We Want In

by: Outlawz

Release Date August 05, 2008
OUTLAWZ
WE WANT IT

I have been patiently waiting for the Outlawz to release another album and the wait is finally over as the Lawz have returned. Now while this is not the album on Young Buck's Cashville records it is still up there with all their other albums. EDI, YOUNG NOBLE, KASTRO, and STORMEY all do their thing on this album.

1.WE WANT IT-the first track definintly comes out banging and is a great opening track. This track is all about how they want to get as much money as possible. All of the Outlawz including official member Stormey all hold it down hard on this track, and the beat from Beat Nik & K-Salaam is off the hook. This is definintly a great way to open the album, this is also a single for the album, ... Read More:

Solid EP. I personally like it more than their two full albums. It's simple, but thats what Blue Scholars does well. Geo has many a good rhyme and Sabzi's beats are always true

CD-Charts Music : In a Major Way

In a Major Way

CD-Charts > Music > West Coast
by: E-40

Release Date March 14, 1995
E-40 was a long-time veteran in the rap game when his seminal album "In a Major Way" was released in 1995. It's really the album that got E-40 noticed by a mainstream audience, and pushed Jive to ultimately stuff more money into his forthcoming albums (the next being "Hall Of Game" [1996]). This album rides the line between independent and mainstream lines ridiculously well. As far as rapping goes, E-40 is at the very top of his game, boasting his slang-filled flow with a cunning wit, that is arguably in peak form. Most notably, some of the best west coast rappers came to support Forty's untouchable style - 2Pac, Mac Mall & Spice 1 - who all perform flawlessly on the classic posse track "Dusted 'n' Disgusted".

"Da Bumble" kicks off the album right after ... Read More:

CD-Charts Music : Killa Kali

Killa Kali

CD-Charts > Music > West Coast
by: Celly Cel

Release Date April 30, 1996
Celly Cel is a Bay Area vet who despite an impressive discography never quite received the acclaim of his buddies E-40 and Spice 1. His 1995 sophomore effort "Killa Kali" is an excellent album of top-notch Bay Area hip hop. Celly's not a lyrical visionary, but he's an appealing rapper because he has style, a good flow and delivery, and a commanding presence on the mic. He raps about what he knows, and most of the time that consists of life in the Bay, hustling, and violence. He delivers good hooks and overall makes a nice performance. What sets "Killa Kali" apart from the sea of Bay Area albums from the mid-90s is the production. The music carries a distinctly Bay Area sound, with the choppy and bass-heavy beats and whiny instrumentals, but it is more melodic, smoother, and catchier ... Read More:

CD-Charts Music : G-Funk Classics, Vols. 1 & 2

G-Funk Classics, Vols. 1 & 2

CD-Charts > Music > West Coast
by: Nate Dogg

Release Date July 21, 1998
I myself consider G-Funk Classics, Vols. 1 & 2 to be a compilation rather than a full fledged album. Nate Dogg would begin production with Death Row records and later jump ship when the label folded under due to Suge Knight's financial/legal woes**. He then brought his project to Breakaway Records where he would record enough material to release a double album.

Enough with the history lesson. What we have here is 2 discs containing over 30 unadulterated G-Funk classics. I myself welcome the heavy guest spots on this record simply because Nate Dogg is an artist that works best when accompanied by his peers. Nate Dogg is well known for laying down the hooks and does so on many tracks, as well as holding his own on others. Anything you've ever heard on a Dre, Snoop, Dogg ... Read More:

Better Dayz

CD-Charts > Music > West Coast
by: 2Pac

Release Date November 26, 2002
Even though I felt like Until The End Of Time was his best posthumous album Im still feeling this one though. Standout tracks on disc1: STILL BALLIN, WHEN WE RIDE ON OUR ENEMIES, CHANGED MAN, NEVER B PEACE, MAMA'S JUST A LITTLE GIRL, STREET FAME, LATE NIGHT, GHETTO STAR, THUGZ MANSION(Nas version) etc. Filler on disc 1: none. Standout tracks on disc 2:THUGZ MANSION, BETTER DAYZ, U CAN CALL, MILITARY MINDS, FAME, CATCHING FEELINGS, THERE U GO(humorous), THIS LIFE I LEAD, WHO DO YOU BELIEVE IN and THEY DONT GIVE A F*** ABOUT US. Filler on disc2: Fair Exchange remix. Bottom Line: this is the last good album that they put out of Tupac's before his memory and his music got destroyed by the likes of Suge Knight and Eminem. There are some solid gems on here like Mama's Just A Little Girl, They Dont Give ... Read More:
