This was a real disappointment. I thought we would be getting some hot renditions of the old swing songs. All this was is a rehash of the old classics anyone could get from the public library. . . It's another example of someone just putting together some old songs, giving it a cool name, and trying to sell it to the public. We ended up tossing this one and selected a few others for our party.

Here Comes The Bride

This was an amazing CD, atually a double CD. It had 53 total tracks, and all the music we needed. Before we found it, we had purchased about 7 different wedding CDs trying to find the perfect songs. The other CDs had mostly poor recordings and very limited selection and we were really discouraged. Then we heard about this CD and WOW! The recordings were all crisp, clear, wonderfully orchestrated and perfect for our intimate wedding!

It was amazing to us that one CD could be so different from all the others in the genere.

Our recommendation, forget about all the other CDs, you only need one. It has more music than the others combined, and sounds fantastic. We may be a little biased, after all we used it for all our ... Read More:

I recently became engaged, and my sister, in a very generouse gesture, gave me a set of four of Drew's Famous CD's to help me get started in planning my wedding (Reception Party Music, First Dance, Daddy's Little Girl, and Here Comes the Bride). While the song selection is useful, the recordings are pretty bad. Vocals remind me of American Idol auditions, and the use of electronic music synthesizers is distracting when it comes to classical pieces. You're better off reviewing the song selections and finding original artist recordings, because you won't want to listen to these for long.

Close your eyes and you are walking the streets of Paris or having a cocktail at the Moulon Rouge. These performances could not be bettered and the Chandos sound is SPECTACULAR. Rich, warm and spacious with depth. You will have a smile on your face, a sparkle in your eyes and a bounce in your step after listening to this. If Not, than you must be listening to Mahler. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I don't understand why I spaced and didn't review this sooner... For our outdoor garden wedding two years ago, we used the "Processional" song for (what else?) our wedding processional -- it was so perfect -- and "Haste to the Wedding" as our recessional. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this CD and still play it just because. I also recommend it to people who are looking for something other than the traditional classical music for their wedding. I'd give it six stars if I could...
edited to add: my baby also loves to fall asleep to this CD, the music is really very soothing as well as beautiful.
