I had a lady sing "How beautiful" and " I will be here" on my wedding and my guests cried along with them. They were so touching and made my wedding an unforgettable event in my life.
I picked out all my wedding music from this CD - it's got everything!
We had our harpist play some of the pieces for the ceremony, then had our DJ play some during dinner at the reception. The recording of Canon in D is especially fantastic. This CD helped make my wedding spectacular!
My best friend is using my copy to pick out her wedding music as well. I highly recommend this CD to anyone getting married!

After the first two songs, there is nothing "Irish" about this CD. And definitely nothing on it at all that I would even play at a wedding. I might consider one song for the reception. Maybe.
Waste of time, waste of money. There is so much great music out there, this doesn't even deserve one star.

If you are not in a patient mood, then I suggest that you stay away from this piece of music until a later date. On the other hand, if you are taking a break from intellectual music, are burned out from Mahler, Bruckner, Shostakovich, and Tchaikovsky...then I suggest that you lean back in that armchair and enjoy this heart-warming symphony. And `Heart-Warming' would be a more appropriate title since the `Rustic' part must have passed me by. This is definitely post-romantic music.
I especially like the first movement of this symphony. A very noble and celebratory theme is developed. I have to give Goldmark the two-thumbs up here for a very good melody. There are a few `sugar ballet' moments that might make you cringe a little, but if you're ... Read More:

This CD includes traditional ceremonial wedding music, and well as popular love songs. It includes both the processional and recessional marches. Canon in D major is a beautiful and romantic song. The only other songs on the album worth listening to are "If" by Bread, and most notably "The Wedding Song (There is Love)" by Petula Clark. The other ones are basically fillers. (Prime example: Corey Hart sings "Can't Help Falling in Love") I wouldn't recommend this album; search for a better wedding album.

Any third world child laborer could bang a stick on a very empty can, while screeching out barbaric and unmelodious jibber jabber, and it could properly be called music. But what should we call a more glorious, though baroquely bloated, and very jolly sonic emanation; one that sounds as revolting and sublimely insipid as the album, "Born for You [!]" by the newly "slutted out" Kathie Lee Gifford?
When does odiousness become a form of knowing? If you don't know the answer to this question, you need to crank up the Kathy Lee. Right now. Just as some silly Jesuit might proclaim: That is My dog, That dog is a father, Therefore that dog is my father-no one could deny the claim that because Gifford was born, it is therefore established ... This is incredible, energetic music. It's crazy, soulful, and mindblowing. When you put the CD on the stereo, you feel as if your house was just invaded by an army of happy, frenetic gypsies. And that's a good thing.

I purchased this product for my upcoming wedding in June of 2007. I absolutely love the product. I plan on using several selections from this cd in my wedding. My absolute favorite selection on this cd is the Wedding March. I just love the trumpets in the Wedding March. I would highly recommend this cd to anyone. This cd is first rate!! I can't wait to use it at my wedding.

I enjoy all things Disney and love instrumental music so when I heard this CD playing in my daughter's 5th grade classroom, I asked the teacher where I could purchase a copy. He suggested Amazon.com, which is where I also discovered the companion CD: Bippity Boppity Bach. Beautiful classical style, with familiar Disney tunes ... how can it not be good? ;o)
