I admit to having been very curious about both Teairra Mari & Rihanna since they were both hyped up at about the same time. I thought they'd both be 1-hit wonders and am very surprised about how events have turned for them both: while Teairra has been dropped from the label, Rihanna has become an industry darling who not only now has a GRAMMY (!) but is also reportedly working on her 4th album.
I think that Teairra can definitely sing and deserves another shot with better material. My one major problem with this album is the overuse of the "n"-word. Now I've listened to my fair share of hip/hop & rap and while I can overlook the limited use of the word on rap tracks, when a young African American female sings a chorus with this word, I have to draw ...
