Aw no, not another hippy. Not another counter-culture lifestyle mullah. Ok, it looks that way but first, let's check Nick Drake's hippie-dom credentials;

1, Centre Parting ? - Check.
2, Floral Shirt/Dungarees ? - Check.
3, Being on Island Records ? - Check.
4, Standing in the woods with an acoustic guitar looking meaningful ? - Check.

So, he meets the criteria, but does he have a pleasing, cynic-bashing, soulful music, designed (in a genuinely conspiratorial sense ) to make your wobbling correspondent eat his facetious words with side-orders of tofu and quorn?

I bought this CD after it was recommended to me by Amazon.com and I am quite pleased with it. I have listened to the entire album over a half dozen times and am still enjoying every song.

Karen has a pleasant singing voice and the accompiament and rythyms are entertaining as well. If you are a fan or Irish folk and contempary music I think you will enjoy this. Although that is just my opinion, your mileage may vary. :-)

This is a fantastic irish band that knows their genre, from slow, beautiful folk tunes to high energy fiddle thrashing and funny lyrics. They are, by far, my favorite Irish or Gaelic band.

I continue to listen to this album often. Every song is good and has its own atmospheric presence. I often travel to the high sierra nevada's and this album doesnt leave my cd player. I highly recommend it. Composed beautifully and sound quality is great.
