Tossing my horrible review title aside, this album is a great piece of power metal mastery. I know I'm only echoing other reviewers here when I say this album is incredible. The entire band is in top form here and every song is a classic. There are no dull moments at ALL in this album. My favorite track is of course the 13-minute epic "Halloween." The double guitar tremolo melodies in this track keep me coming back for more. The remaster definitely sounds better than the previous release. If you already have that, then throw it in a dumpster or give it to a used CD store, because you won't be needing it anymore.
Keeper of the Seven Keys Pt. 1 is Helloween's greatest album and no metal fan should be without it. Be sure ... Read More:

i'm a motorhead fan but i'm not overly impressed with this debut album. to me the sound isn't that great and lemmy is just starting to work on his growl. my favorite motorhead album is hammered but i discovered the bands years ago with ace of spades. there are a few good songs...iron horse being my favorite off this album...but i find the entire album to be lacking.

Anthrax has to be one of the most overrated thrash bands to come out the '80s and this album is really the best one they ever made.
Charlie Benante is great on drums but Dan Spitz is just a lousy guitarist. Anthrax's solos pretty much just suck! Joey Belladonna is OK but his whinning voice gets old.
A.I.R. and Madhouse are the two best songs on the album. The rest is OK but I find Anthrax to be just overrated in comparison to other thrash such as Pantera or Slayer. Good riffs; decent vocals and drums; mostly dum lyrics; and, simply lousy solo work. Makes me think of a decent garage band you invite for a summer block party with beer kegs. After a few beers the music starts sounding really great for a mosh with friends but that's ... Read More:

Normally I don't care for tributes. Who wants to hear other people perform your favorite band's material in a grossly subpar manner? I'm going to make an exception here. This isn't a collection of has beens and never weres, this is Black Sabbaths' peers and contempories trying their damndest to pay tribute to the grand daddy's of metal. Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, Rob Zombie, Dave Mustaine, there all here. These songs all rock heavy and hard and each musician and vocalist has added something special to the chosen song. I bought this album back in 1994 and it remains one of my favorite CDs in my collection. Check out the absolutly CRUNCHING versions of "Symptom of the Universe", the "Wizard", and "Children of the Grave"...

This album saw Testament experiment a little with death metal, and contained some of their heaviest material to date.
While Low, Legions (In Hiding), Hail Mary, Shades of War, PC, Dogs Faced Gods, and Ride are all great headbangers, Urotsukidoji shows some great interplay between Greg Christian and the rest of the band, leading into Chasing Fear which is the most typical old school Testament song on the album, and probably the only time on the album I missed Alex Skolnick (as good as Skolnick is, James Murphy certainly was a worthy replacement).
However the slow song on this album, Trail of Tears, similar to Return to Serenity on The Ritual, wins the gold for the best song on the album. The song contains the albums best solo (and one of ... Read More:

King decided to reform Mercyful. Obviously he couldn't pull double duty.
The King D. albums and this Mercyful one just isn't very good.
Somewhat dry production. Boring and unmemorable.
Not interesting.
Very few people could pull off writing great music for two bands at the same time. I give King credit for trying but both groups suffer for it.
Not a must have.
Maybe worth a download if your curious.

After FF broke up after releasing two good discs then two equally bad ones.
I kind of breathed a sigh of relief.
When I heard they reformed, I didn't expect much. I got the disc and, WOW!!!
Welcome back!
Every song, masterful!
Start to finish, amazing.
A must buy.
Too bad they messed up again with the next one.
Buy this one or the first two.

I don't get the (few) bad reviews this dvd is getting. The sound and picture quality are above standard and the camera movement captures the excitement of the show. The extra features alone are worth the price. If you are into Motorhead this one will not let you down!!

After seeing the group Arch Enemy at Ozzfest, I had to pick up some of their material. They put on a really good show. It amazes me how this swedish woman could have such a devastating scream, and it really does work for the band. The only downside to Arch Enemy, I would say, would be that the music is repetitive after a while. I like listening to a couple Arch songs every now and then, but I will get tired of trying to listen to the whole album. They have a solid epic formula that doesn't move around much. Arch Enemy is a great band with enourmous talent, but it just isn't my favorite metal group. Bangers on this cd are: Nemesis, Taking back my soul, and Skeleton Dance.

this is my favorite motorhead album. to me, this album is the perfect mix of old and new motorhead. songs to check out are, "walk a crooked mile", "shut your mouth", and "the game". if you only have room for a few motorhead albums in your cd collection, this is a must!
