My Disc: Autosound 2000 Test DiscCD-Charts > Music > Test Recordings by: Various Artists Release Date March 19, 1996 This is an excellent test disc. It has all the tools you need to properly tune your system on single disc. I use it everytime I do an install. It saves on time and headaches. I highly recommend it. |

This can be used for anything from aligning tape head azimuth to speaker frequency range. Also good for testing noise levels of either your cd player or amplifier/receiver. Most are transparent rip-offs of the BBC's multi-volume public domain set, only with bad transfers, digital noise, and bad cut-offs. This isn't one of them. This CD is a gift-pack of period vehicles (horse-drawn, mostly), with a leavening of other period sounds, all clear and detailed and just ready to be dropped into a video or used to set the stage in a theatrical production (which is where I've reached for this CD, over and over, as a theatrical sound designer of twenty years experience.)
