I love this CD plus I had to get it only because I love the OC.. BUT this cd has holiday songs but it isnt so happy and soppy as the others.. they actually are pretty rock and roll kind its awesome.

Our school's 7th graders put on a haunted house as a fundraiser each year at Halloween. This year's theme was a haunted "mansion". In our room we had a skeleton playing an organ.... This CD was perfect!!!! Our skeleton "performed" all night long for two nights! It was just what I was looking for. Thanks!

I have been looking for this music collected since about 1969 when I started first grade. I loved the music of the school educational movies, and I never knew there would be some other nuts who would love it enough to put it together on disc. My kids love it too. My wife, alas, doesn't get it, but puts up with it out of love of family. Great for breaking tension when it's time to clean the house. Just pop it on and say to the kids with a hokey smile, "Hey guys, let's clean the house! It'll look swell!" Everyone will chip in and do their part thanks to this bouncy soundtrack!

Fooly Cooly OST 1: Addict

Fooly Cooly had an amazing deal with the Pillows who provided amazing music for them and it shows on these soundtracks. This is a good album but it lacks a bit. Though I think Vol.2 is better this is still a hot album. For one it only gives you a taste of "Last Dinosaur" on the first track, it only lasts about 20 seconds. Of course "Ride on shooting star" is hot and it will definitely get you into the CD. After that there are very nice songs like "Hybrid Rainbow" and a lot of Pillows instrumentals. The instrumentals are hot don't get me wrong but Sawao has a great voice and I would have loved to have heard it instead of just the music. I already said a lot of what I wanted to say in the my review of the first OST (see that for more details) But, this is basically just a mix of stuff from their 5th album through their 8th one. They stil however cut many of the songs down, one being Patrica used to be much longer and with lyrics, it was from their 6th album Little Busters, and I'm pretty sure Nightmare was cut down as well. This is still a great way to be introduced to The Pillows and still shows their great variety, but the one reason to get this CD would have to be the song I Think I Can, which was espically made for this CD, meaning you can't find it anywhere else, this is the only album that The Pillows made with this song in it, and it is quite a good one (course all of them are aren't they?)

I bought this album a couple months after it came out as one of my ten free album choices with my commitment to Columbia House. The act of listening to an entire album, track by track, isn't as well practiced as it was in the days when this soundtrack came out. Today most of us listen with iPods and randomized playlists. When I first got an mp3 player back in 2004, I started going through my CD collection, which, with the burning of each track to hard drive, became more and more obsolete.

Among them was the "Friends" soundtrack, which I hadn't listened to in years.
