I think that this compilation is great. My hope is that they would come out with another album with more La Femme music. There were so many good interludes that weren't covered, especially the opening scene to the last episode of season 3, where Michael and Nikita met in the hallway. This was an intensely intimate scene with the background song, "Strange Effect" by Hooverphonic.

this version is a hard one to find in stores, i know you can order it off the net now, but man, it took me forever to find a site online to find it for a decent price. got it last year sometime in the summer i think, and only paid 17 bucks for it. its worth getting the deluxe edition of this because of the bonus material on the second disc. i love this band, even though its a cartoon, it makes me laugh at how true it is in the parody of death metal (even though i am a fan of all metal personally, if you cant laugh at the music you like, then what can you do?) cant wait for the new season to start on sunday, hopefully a second season dvd will come out soon? i can only hope!

This may be heresy, but this version of ANNIE is far superior to the over-blown 1982 film. It makes only minimal changes to the plot of the original stage show, and keeps most of the original songs; the ones it leaves out ("Annie," "You Won't Be an Orphan for Long," and "Getting a New Deal for Christmas" were my least favorite songs in the stage show; however, I do wish they hadn't cut the sarcastic "We'd Like to Thank You, Herbert Hoover," but I digress...). Also, there are a handful of songs on here that are BETTER than the OBC: "I Think I'm Going to Like It Here" (Audra MacDonald is the BEST Grace Ferrel to date, and she rocks this song), "NYC" (Audra MacDonald, Victor Garber, and Andrea McArdle, the original Annie, as the Star to Be - can't ... I bought this item for my son who is 2yrs thinking it would be songs directly from the show. Well only a few songs 2 were on there he will not listen to the rest because they are not as upbeat as the main ones. So if i had a choice to buy it again i wouldn't i wait until songs became avaiable on itunes or napster to at least listen to them.

I really enjoy the variety of music on this CD. I've been introduced to new groups and songs by established artists that did not make top 40. Magic Tree, Ride a White Horse, Long Way to Happy, and Living Proof are my favorites. I rediscovered Tori Amos and of course Betty Rocks!

Every once in a while, network television does something right. That's the case in this production of "Gypsy." If anything, I like the soundtrack recording more than I did the television production. Bette Midler does an admirable job as "Mama Rose," and her interpretations of the material are outstanding. The score, which is almost 50 years old, is so much smarter than anything coming out of musical theater today, which is sad to say. At least there are revivals.
