I first bought Miami Vice and Miami Vice II albums as cassettes when I was driving over the road and only later went to CDs. Like the first Miami Vice collection, this one is not perfect, and many quality songs are missing, like Foreigner's "I want to know what love is", and Ted Nugent's fabulous and still hard-to-get "Little Miss Dangerous". Still, this album provides a wide array of great and rarely heard performances: Steve Jones' haunting "Mercy", Gladys Knight's "Send it to me", Phil Collins' "Take me Home", Patti LaBelle with Bill Champlin singing their powerful duet, "The Last Unbroken Heart", Roxy Music's rare and soulful "Lover", Andy Taylor's equally infrequent but hard-driving "When The Rain Comes Down", and Jackson Browne's protest ... There are so many great songs that are off the beaten path. You will enjoying hearing some you recognize and some that are new. If you like indie rock/music this collection is outstanding. It also reminded us of one of our favorite tv series. We all enjoyed it.

this version is a hard one to find in stores, i know you can order it off the net now, but man, it took me forever to find a site online to find it for a decent price. got it last year sometime in the summer i think, and only paid 17 bucks for it. its worth getting the deluxe edition of this because of the bonus material on the second disc. i love this band, even though its a cartoon, it makes me laugh at how true it is in the parody of death metal (even though i am a fan of all metal personally, if you cant laugh at the music you like, then what can you do?) cant wait for the new season to start on sunday, hopefully a second season dvd will come out soon? i can only hope!

Queer as Folk: The Fourth Season

Season 4 has my favorite soundtrack of all five seasons. Unlike the other soundtracks, I don't find myself loving some tracks and skipping others. Season 4 of Queer as Folk was an emotional one and this reflects that. The mood is low key but multi-textured: it gets introspective, hopeful, sad, sexy, happy, and yes there are danceable tracks too. Somehow it does this seamlessly. There are some real gems here. Others have mentioned Cue to the Pulse: absolutely wonderful. There is also the cool and sexy Suede song "Attitude", the melancholy "Love of the Loveless" by Eels, and bitter sweet love song "Scream" by Ima Robot. All of the songs are pretty good, and Rock Kill's Kid cover of I Turn My Camera On is amazing. Ashtar Command's Into Dust is also very good. These two songs alone warrant a purchase, but with songs like Debaser and Can't It Out Of My Head, it is simply a must for anyone with taste.

If you're a huge fan of Fraggle Rock, then you definitely need this collection for your music library. Some songs are repeated, but that is because this collection is a reissue on CD of three previous Fraggle Rock albums which were released years apart with no intention of forming a "complete" collection of Fraggle Rock music. Even so, this collection is useful for its ability to complete any Fraggle Rock collection.

It's true that this collection lacks some of my personal favorites, but it more than makes up for it with the inclusion of some of the best music ever to hit television, and that is no exaggeration.
