I bought this based on a review in Mothering magazine a few years ago, and it has been one of my four children's favorite CDs ever since. "I Want It" became our theme song one vacation as everyone sang it out loud over and over again at full blast in the car (my kids recognized themselves). We tend to skip over the stories, as it's the songs that are really catchy and singable. A teenage mother's helper I had one summer was astounded at all the "cool" people she recognized on the CD. A must buy for any family with young children!

If you have ever seen the movie "So I Married an Axe Murderer" with the scenes of Mike Myers reciting poetry, then you will have a pretty good idea of the kind of reading Marvin Miller gives to "Green Eggs and Ham" here.

I bought this disc (along with "The Cat in the Hat Songbook") as humorous Christmas present for my wife; we are both Seuss fans. While we enjoyed the songbook, which concludes with a reading of one of our all-time favorites: "The Sleep Book," this disc...and the reading of "Green Eggs and Ham" in particular, takes some getting used to.

What can I say here that has not already been mentioned by the other avid, musically intelligent, and well versed fans that have already reviewed this classic CD...? Maybe only that it is a shame with all the animated children's movies out there nowadays, and all the regurgitated crappy remakes of old songs on these movies, that Roger or someone with the rights to this classic children's album does not just simply create their own vision from these originals songs, and finally finish what was started!

What a great children's album!! My two year old son LOVES this CD, and asks for songs by name. The songs are great fun, and have good educational value and message. Usually, children's music makes me cringe, but I find myself singing along to Farmer Jason's songs, too. We've been enjoying this CD in the car and at home for a long time now, and I have yet to get sick of it. By the way, Farmer Jason rocks in concert, too!!
