This was my favorite album when I was growing up in the 70's. I rented the dvd a few months ago from netflix and watched it w/my girls. They loved the baby puppets!!! I ordered the cd so we could listen in the van and am ordering dvd for xmas. Yes, some of the songs are a little dated, but no more than everything else that's coming back from yesteryear. It is nice to share something from my childhood that my kids will actually admit to liking and not being too cool for mom's stuff.

Get this. I'm 35, a guy, don't have ANY kids, and I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF VEGGIE TALES!!! As I grew up in the 1970s, I didn't think anything could be more wonderful than watching the various half-hour Peanuts holiday specials. Veggie Tales has managed to match that joy now even though I am now (I think) an adult! I was introduced to this group of Veggie Tales videos when visiting a good friend and his family recently. They kept howling before about "The Song Of the Cebu" in universal family delight. The three year old loved it, the six year old loved it, the 33 year old mom loved it, and the 36 year old dad was possibly the most enthralled of all! My husband and I were raised Catholic, but have chosen to not raise our children within a formal church. This music is a great way to teach some of the Bible stories in a really fun way. The music is great, the lyrics brilliant and wonderful for all ages. My kids are 3, 8 and 11, and all love it. I highly recommend this cd.

Another review compared Veggie Tales with Sesame Street - and I agree. The humor is for kids and adults alike, in a clean, hilarious way.
