I am always searching for new African music, and I happened upon Yeshe through his label's website, Dog My Cat Records. Granted, Yeshe himself is a white guy who I've read was born in Germany, but he lived in Africa for many years. This album has both traditional African songs and original compositions, split about half and half.
This CD has everything I look for in African music: traditional instruments (the mbira is featured), excellent percussion, and great singing. His voice is low and a little gravelly, and emotes very well. His female backup singers are smooth and on key. Unlike many independent label African-genre CDs, the sound and production quality are both excellent; the sound level of the instruments ... Read More:

I saw this guy live when he came to my church. I could tell as soon as i met him God had truly given him a gift. I got this cd and because i enjoyed it so much i gave my copy to my brother who liked the cd as much as i did and he put it on his mp3 player. Love & War is a must have cd if u enjoy christian rap. If u dont enjoy any type of rap then this is not the cd for u.The bet and the words all flow together very well. And each song tells sometype of story or has a very importance message to it.

So how does John Williams follow-up his Oscar winning soundtrack to the then-highest grossing movie of all time? He creates a very memorable sequel that is both possibly his most complete work and also contains the most recognizable villain theme of all time. Not too shabby if you ask me!
The 2-CD Special Edition of this soundtrack contains 23 tracks, including the "20th Century Fox Fanfare" in track 1. I won't go through all of the tracks, but I'll hit some of my favorites. You'll definitely recognize the first 1:20 of the "Main Theme" from all of the other Star Wars movies. The first few tracks are solid, but in my mind are unspectacular and not particularly note-worthy. The soundtrack starts picking up steam with the nearly ... Read More:

This CD was one of 3 purchased to use during my son's Star Wars Themed Birthday Party. It is by far his favorite! He still wants to play it everynight before bedtime. The Soundtrack "I am your father" is really cute and the children got a kick out of it. The only reason I rate this 4 stars and not 5 is soley because it was a bit more expensive than the other two CD's I purchased for the party. This CD will be enjoyed by our family and friends for quite a while. Certainly recommend, particularly for a younger audience.

The (Rather tacky) disk case and this page say "Various Artists," but DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT! In fact everything on here is by Neil Norman and his Cosmic Orchestra, an instrumental rock group that's been playing cover versions of SF themes for going on 30 years now.
I realize saying "Instrumental rock covers" makes it sound kind of interesting, but again, DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT! The band were, are, and evermore shall be a terrible, terrible band, playing horrible versions of these themes.
Worse yet, Norman et al frequently recycle their work as this kind of album without anything on the case to indicate who they are, so if you buy these kinds of anthologies, you can easily get burned and end up buying the same Cosmic Orchestra ... Read More:

Don't buy this album because it has "Star Wars" in the title, it's not related to the trilogy at all. Buy it because it's Alec Empire at the top of his game. No one else mixes ambient techno with the super-fast and hard noise he's known for. This is great stuff, but be forwarned, it's an aquired taste. Personally, I think you should start with Empire's more recent "The Destroyer" and work your way back to this. Also, if you like the hard stuff, check out Atari Teenage Riot's "Burn, Berlin, Burn" where you'll hear more of Empire's signature sound.
