This is not the way we dance in America. If you are looking for international lessons, then maybe that's what this is. American dances start with the gentleman's left foot. These instructions are backwards and if you dance this way women in my part of the country (Georgia) are going to look at you like you've got your head on backwards. This will cause more confusion than anything if you are a beginner. Check out some Joe Baker videos (thedancestoreonline dot com) if you want to learn how to dance like a normal person. The demonstrations are entertaining, but way beyond what they teach in the lesson.

From reading the many reviews of this CD listed under different UPC codes, you either love it or you don't. I love it but have to admit that somehow it does sound better when it's warm outside and it's easy to feel languorous. Seemed to sound much better in our Mexican rental house than at home in Oregon where it was colder. Wasn't familiar with Marisa Monte until I bought this and "Universo Ao Meu Redor", which she released in 2006 at the same time. (I much prefer this CD to "Universo.")

Some complain that it's not groundbreaking but is that really what you want in Brazilian music?

Narcotango is just different than others neotango producers like Bajofondo tango club or Tanghetto, even different from great compilations. These guys from Brazil don't mess around. This cd is unrelenting,brutal and pummeling from start to finish. This was the first cd I got by Krisiun and was totally blown away. This band is awesome in every way. I have'nt heard anything else by them but if it is as good as this one. I been missing out on some serious death metal. I would rank them at the top in my death metal collection. If you like brutal,extreme and furocious death metal at it's best then check this cd by Krisiun.
