I can't add much beyond what's already been added by the earlier reviewers. The series is excellent and the soundtrack is superb. It does indeed have a distinctly American feel to it, and some of the tracks have elements that will/could bring you to tears they're so moving (e.g., Declaration of Independence, Letter to Jefferson, etc.). I can recommend this without reservation.

Tracks 3,5 & 10 were best song rtracks on the whole cd. I wish theyed put thoses 3 songs on a cd with other disney songs which would be much better. Id say thoses 3 tracks is what saves this cd from getting 1 star rating.

We've taken the kids to see the lion king broadway musical twice and this CD has all of the songs from the musical exactly as they are in the show. The kids love to listen to it--and so do I! The music is absolutely beautiful.

Avenue Q's soundtrack is fantastic - every time I listen, it's like I'm back in my theater seat on Broadway. The recording is clear, crisp and has the same feel as the performers doing the show today. CD includes full lyrics for every song, which is also terrific. If you're a fan of the show (and how could you not be?), the CD is a must have.

A wonderful recording that still sounds great today. There was no one quite like Mary Martin. For me she was the classic performer just as was Ethel Merman. These ladies were in a very special class of performer.
