This is a great work by Howard Shore. Its the darkest movie in the trilogy and this soundtrack portrays that. The Rohan pieces are inspiring because you can sense the themes of 'hope in hopelessness' and helps you to remember that God can and will help you when all seems lost; He is the Savior.

I've been a huge Van Morrison fan since my early twenties. I started buying all his music until 'The Healing Game'. I stopped there because he was releasing an average of 2 albums per year, and my financial status was becoming at risk. I am not a fan of compilations at all. I just bought this CD in a whim and I still don't know why. I may have all the songs in here except for a couple, but the quality of every track is excellent. There is not one single song that is not good. Perhaps the Pink Floyd song is helping selling this compilation a lot, since it appeared in 'The Departed', in a very interesting moment in that movie. Pineapple Express

If a lot of the songs on this compilation seem like early 90's hits, it's because they were. I have to imagine that Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg wrote the script to Pineapple Express during that time period, so it would make sense that these were songs that inspired them during that time. Lotsa classic tracks like Crossroads by Bone Thugs N Harmony, Eddie Grant's danceclub hit Electric Avenue and Cypress Hill's Dr. Greenthumb.... And the Huey Lewis title track....Awesome!

my wife is a big fan of the movie. this music is right from the movie. It is not music inspired from the movie like some of those disapointing cd i have atained in the past. it's right from the movie so if you watch the movie you have heard the music before. I don't like the wall art that media player wants you to look at as the music plays but in a cd player it sounds great. It is exactly what you would expect.

The Cheetah Girls just seem to be getting better and better.
Their voices sound much stronger, and they each compliment each other in every song.

I love how they incorporated Latin beats in both the movie and soundtrack. I enjoy every song on this track, the lyrics are positive, and it sends out great messages of friendship.

I feel they should have included Raven in the Barcelona Mix of "Cheetah Sisters". Adding Belinda to the songs was also a nice twist to the Cheetah Songs.

Once you buy this for your kids (or yourself!) You won't wanna stop listening. Great buy.

A Walk to remember was such a great movie and most of all the songs in the movie are on the cd. The new radicals song is great and the switchfoot songs love them so much. I definitely recommend this, buy the movie as well if you haven't already.

Evita needs a new review like a hole in the head, so forgive the indulgence.
Always will be the greatest CD presentation of the Rice/Webber masterpiece. Why Lloyd Webber has felt it needed the bastardisation of its more recent incarnations?.. I will never understand.

I loved the movie and my basset hound sang along to a few of the tunes in the movie; however she (the basset) did not respond at all to the music from the sound track, and this was a little disappointing, but I liked it a great deal.
