The fact that this album is associated with a cartoon is completely irrelevant.

If your soul craves the blissful abuse only brought about by hard, HARD music, the answer is Dëthkløk.

To put it bluntly, Dëthkløk, AKA Nathan Explosion, et.al., AKA Brendan Small et.al., found the balls Metallica lost blowing their 'Load', skewered them with a sottering iron, fed them to a summoned Kraken, and road the Kraken to kick Metallica's A**.

All while Old Man Dio watched through moistened eyes and clapped his hands in glee.

If you like Metal, you'll love Dëthkløk.

I was born in 1976, so I didn't really grow up listening to these songs. However, many of them still get heavy airplay on classic rock stations. Not one song on this album is bad. Personal favorites include "Cherry Bomb" and "Tuesday's Gone." Other solid tracks include "Low Rider," "Tush" and "Love Hurts."

If you've seen the film, you already know that it lives and dies by the music that's constantly played in it. Much like "Swingers," "Dazed And Confused" is a very good film, but the soundtrack selection makes it great.

I gave this album four stars because there are some key tunes missing (most notably "Hurricane," by Bob Dylan). Also, the classic rock vibe is broken up by "Jim Dandy," which doesn't quit fit in as ... Read More:

Mass Effect is flat-out one of the best games of the past five years. And one of the things that makes it so great is the soundtrack, which is a real score, instead of some cardboard effort, or some stock music. Nope, this is full studio work, and actual thought went into it. No, the the soundtrack isn't there for background, it's part of the living breathing game. They build off each other. The soundtrack helps complete the mood and atmosphere, instead of hindering it.

It's a tribute to 80's sci-fi movies with its constant synth use, but there's also plenty of horns, some piano and somehow, it all comes together in epic fashion. And epic it is. This could easily be in any movie, and it should. Jack Wall and Sam Hulick did an amazing job ... Read More:

This is THE best of Mr. Horner's score! He captured the heart and soul of the film and what the film was about. It was not a usual epic film score. It was a score written and based upon the heart of William Wallace and the courage of the Scots. There was not a track I didn't like. Every minute of it is just enrapturing and even addictive.
Even if you don't like Mr. Horner, this score can be enjoyed. It is so original and inspirational. You MUST own this music!

I purchased this CD because my son had it a few years ago and I wanted a copy since he has long left. It was wonderful as I remembered it. It has a couple of dirges on it for which I don't care but in general, the music is inspirational and uplifting.

I enjoyed the first Hostel movie due to it's entertainment/shock value. It was actually pretty funny, but at the same time it had very ominous undertones. Hostel 2 however, is a much better movie in my opinion. Director/Writer Eli Roth really put a lot into this movie. This movie had smarter characters, smarter plot points, and it was executed better. Roth made the smartest decision of all when he decided to continue the storyline started in the first Hostel. Too many movies have attempted to do too much with sequals, instead of sticking to what the movie is supposed to be. Lets face it, everyone that watches Hostel 2 knows exactly what to expect. This cd was definitely worth the money I paid for it. I would even say that it was a bargain. One of the my favorite songs on the cd is "its a beautiful life" by Ace of Base. What I like about the compilation and what makes it worthwhile is that this cd also includes a strong eclectic music of various artists especially the interesting duo between ntrance and Rod Stewart of "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy". This is a compilation where you can actually picture yourself out somewhere having fun even if you are listening to it at work, in the car, and/or at home. Since many of the songs on the cd are good this is why I say that at the price I paid made me realize I got a good deal. This is a great CD, I'm a huge POTC fan. I listen to it as I run, it really helps me focus and I find myself running longer. Definitely a good buy if you like soundtracks.
