I absolutely LOVE this CD and play it ten times a day. It is exciting, enthralling, magical, amazing, powerful, down right awesome music! I love the movie, but somehow the music is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better. Each song is thought out perfectly and sung beautifully. I love it! Buy it, you won't regret it! When I play it, my brothers always come to tell me to turn it down because I'm playing it so loud since it seems pitiful when it's sung low. The music blasts out and makes me laugh and sing along, my heart thumping with excitement. The last song, when Spirit comes home to meet his dear herd and loving mother again, the I WILL ALWAYS RETURN song is A GAZILLION MILLION stars out of five. The fact that this album is associated with a cartoon is completely irrelevant.

If your soul craves the blissful abuse only brought about by hard, HARD music, the answer is Dëthkløk.

To put it bluntly, Dëthkløk, AKA Nathan Explosion, et.al., AKA Brendan Small et.al., found the balls Metallica lost blowing their 'Load', skewered them with a sottering iron, fed them to a summoned Kraken, and road the Kraken to kick Metallica's A**.

All while Old Man Dio watched through moistened eyes and clapped his hands in glee.

If you like Metal, you'll love Dëthkløk.

Little Mermaid

I have such a soft spot for musicals -- especially Disney musicals. The Little Mermaid is one of my very favorites -- most of the songs are so catchy I can't help but tap my foot and sing along. After a bad day there's nothing better than turning this puppy on full blast. Every song you remember is here, including the wonderful orchestral score.

The bonus songs are terrifying, however. Whoever thought that the Little Mermaid needed to be put to horrific, half-baked pop/r&b and shrieked by children of dubious talent should probably have large rocks thrown at them. Just a suggestion. So disappointed, they didn't have the song Just for Now or any other captivating songs from the movie. It's very deceptive. I should have read the reviews before buying but this was the first time I had this happen.... BE on guard!!! You won't get the actual SOUNDTRACK, just background music from the movie. There were songs that Cameron Diaz sang along with and then the song that Kate Winnslet (sp) woke up to, but you won't find it on this CD. You also won't find the song "Darling You send me" they play at the end of the movie. I love the melody from the music as it transforms you to that place of love but this CD will leave you very annoyed!

This is THE best of Mr. Horner's score! He captured the heart and soul of the film and what the film was about. It was not a usual epic film score. It was a score written and based upon the heart of William Wallace and the courage of the Scots. There was not a track I didn't like. Every minute of it is just enrapturing and even addictive.
Even if you don't like Mr. Horner, this score can be enjoyed. It is so original and inspirational. You MUST own this music!

Arrived in great condition and got it at a fraction of the cost. I have played it over and over and over and it sounds just like new each time.
