As all of you know, Election Day is fast approaching and I am running for President. This means hard work! But make no mistake- I realize this review will be antiquated in a few weeks so, who really cares? After all, time is swift, and most things will be forgotten eventually (minus, of course, the pens I've created that can write even on the moon, if you should ever visit there).
Well, I am at a whistle stop in Detroit at the current moment (on the caboose of a train, no less), and the crowds are receptive and they are cheering. Mostly, they cheer "Elect Metamorpho and, please, make him stop reviewing on Amazon"! Such adoration brings a tear to my eye (carefully hidden from the press). After all, if they got a whiff of sentimentalism, ... Read More:

This isn't the best DVD. in fact the front cover is very misleading. The picture on the front cover is the concert I wanted to see, and that concert isn't apart of the package. I pretty upset as I am sure most people are since there are alot of used copies for sale and the DVD has only been out a couple months.

"Missundaztood" is a good album by powerful singer Pink. Includes "Don't Let Me Get Me", "Respect" and "Eventually". Pink ("Stupid Girl") has become involved in the 2008 Presidential Race. Interestingly, in the 2008 Presidential Primary race, New York Senator Hillary Clinton earned more Votes than any other Presidential Primary candidate in American history (hillaryclintonforum, the denver group)

This is a truly great cd. I had the album years ago and it is great to listen to it again. Every song is awesome, and the lyrics and instrumentals are great as are the vocals!

I know that this is a classic, I know that it has sold a zillion copies and that it estblished Van as a "great and as an innovator." I know that everybody has covered "Moondance", probably even The New Christie Minstrels.
In spite of all that, I cannot stand it. I am not concerned that it is very much of its time. I am not concerned that it was the start of endless records of two/three chord bashes. I am not concerned that it encouraged Van to play sax, which is not good. No, my dislike is very black and white - I can't BEAR his voice. It's a yes or no thing, I guess. I am sure that it is deliberate but he cannot seem to hold a note for more than half a beat, and his tone is so harsh. Listen to the middle section of Moondance - it would give an elephant ... That Minneapolis sound...wow, it has all been stated by others, but the intro to 'Purple Rain'...that BIG, lush, twangy, warm, full-bodied Richenbacker 330/12 string is one of the masterpieces of Prince's career. He does more with those few bars than others do with an entire cd. It sets up a great song and lays the foundation for Prince to come in later with his odd looking, but razor sharp axe, and slice and dice his way through a song that has held up amazingly well since 1984...Man, what a guitar!

Let me start off by saying that I'm a huge Christina fan. I think she's an incredibly talented young lady with a powerhouse voice. However, the theme of this album is suppose to be a tribute to traditional jazz and blues music from the 20's, 30's, and 40's. Christina has openly said that she wanted this album to reflect on old jazz music. However, the album only achieves this on 2 or 3 tracks. "Candyman" and "I Got Trouble" sound like authentic jazz tunes that could've been recorded in the 1940's. "Nasty Naughty Boy" is a sultry, seductive song that sounds like it's straight out of a 1920's burlesque strip show. The rest of the album is filled with up-tempo pop tracks (Slow Down Baby, Aint No Other Man), sappy love songs (Save Me From Myself, The Right Man), overdone vocals (Hurt, ... Read More:

Bland, Poppy, psuedo-r&b style music. Nothing really creative about it. Self-Centered, shallow lyrics offer no depth to this artist.
Almost all the progressions are exactly the same. Ugh, please people, spend your money elsewhere.
