This is what American music is...carved from her island style and fused with her street savvy, this album shines with everything Lauryn Hill was and is, and what she represents is an undying, unyielding spirit which recognizes the best and the worst of society and turns it into something to which everyone can relate. With funky beats and sweet, sweet melodies!
Release Date November 17, 1998
As I already knew most of the songs I cannot say I was surprised with the content of the CD.
If you are a EW&F fan this is a must in your collection.
The quality of the sound is also very good.
This is the kind of purchase that makes you happy, no matter how much you have paid for it.

This album is off the flibbity charts awesome. How? Let me tell you. First the title. When I think of physics and formulas, I think of Mariah Carey. The fact her name has a lot of the same letters as Marie Curie is no coincidence. Mariah is really smart. The songs are cool and talk about love and her body. Those are two things I could put together. I think Mariahs breasts have grown over the years. I just thought I would add that. It doesn't make her music different, but her videos are really cool. The one thing this thing is missing is her really high cackling sounds she used to make more often. She still does it some, but it's not like when she sang "emotion" back in the day. Back then, I fronted a Cameo cover band called Slaugefunger. That's ... Read More:

I fell in love with Nuttin' But Stringz while watching America's Got Talent 2008. After looking around a bit, I saw that they had one cd and immediately bought it. Our entire family (ages 50, 42, 12, 11, 9 and 7) is thrilled with the cd. The two brothers are fantastic guys with an original type of music. I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Gnarls Barkley's second album is a good step forward for the duo. It's not what I'd call better than their debut, but it's hard to say it's worse, and it's definitely more focused. It's not quite as fun, but it's still plenty entertaining. There aren't any crazy songs like "Transformer", but they still have some fun in between some more depressing and downbeat songs. Despite the shift in tone, it's identifiably the same band, with Danger Mouse coming up with some great beats and Cee-Lo providing nice R&B vocals. Nothing is as immediately grabbing and infectious as "Crazy", but few songs ever written are.
The album's without a single standout song, but almost all of them are good enough to keep the album enjoyable all the way through. ... Read More:

The veteran keyboard/piano Master and producer (Anita Baker, Regina Belle, Rachelle Ferrell, Dianne Reeves, Marilyn Scott, Flora Purim...) returns with a very solid offering.
This is an album that is closest to his late 70's Epic albums (Reach for It, Dukey Stick etc..).
He surrounds himself with friends old and new on this set, including Sheila E. on percussion and backing vocals, a full horn section (including Michael "Patches" Stewart on trumpet and saxophonist Everette Harp), Jef Lee Johnson and Ray Fuller on guitars, and vocalists DeeDee Foster, Josie James, and Lynn Davis, as well as guest appearances by Leon "Ndugu" Chancler, Vinnie Colaiuta on drums, Wah Wah Watson, Lenny Castro on percussion, Christan McBride, Wayman Tisdale amd Michael ... I bought the ep a few months back that included a couple songs from this new release. Last week I had the pleasure of seeing Marc perform live in Lowell MA and was looking forward to getting this new release. It's a solid effort and the previous reviewer hit the nail on the head. Marc is the funkiest white guy out there today. He has a fine voice and knows how to use it. The Real Thing should be a radio smash. There are many others fine songs on this cd, althought the two duets don't really do it for me, resulting in the 4 star rating. I look forward to seeing Marc back in the New England area and recommend that everyone go out and support this artist.

Felix is one of the best singer/songwriter blue eyed soul artists around. He only gets better through the years. With so much crap out there this CD is one of the best to come along in a very long time. Cropper and Cavaliere are a great match and this is well worth buying.

I love this CD. It has an old school flavor and a few remakes but it is the bomb. Songs number 2 and 3 are now officially "my jams". Kenny Lattimore has done it again.
