I recently saw the Otis Redding exhibit at the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in Macon. This DVD offers full length performances from his concerts and tv appearances through his brilliant career. I especially enjoyed the interviews with Zelma Redding, his widow, and Steve Cropper. I was disappointed that the DVD lacked interview footage of Otis along with biographical information. Other than that, it's great entertainment and a good value. I strongly recommend the "Stax/Volt Revue Live In Norway 1967" DVD as a companion which features Otis in concert with Eddie Floyd, Arthur Conley, Sam & Dave, and Booker T. and the M.G.'s.

From first song to last song, this album is amazing and timeless. Every single song is AMAZING. I've not felt this way about a cd since the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Chrisette has an amazing smooth voice and the tracks are all on point!

I had never heard of this singer before. When I previewed the songs I was expecting the standard little girl voice with meaningless drivel for lyrics. Algebra's voice is very stong and melodic. The lyrics on the cd are well written. She sings them very tight phrasing and clear vocalization. The songs are not over or under produced. I look forward to her next cd.

New singer, climbed her way to the national scene late in life. She was working until recently as a security guard or something, but man has she got talent. The fact that she wasn't discovered until recently is an indictment against the record industry and their disproportionate interest in the "look" of singers. No, she's not pretty in the Britney Spears/Paris Hilton kind of way, but she has a simply gorgeous voice which she uses to sing R and B with a lot of funk and soul. If you like the old Motown sounds, or 70s funk, and who doesn't by the way, you can't help but love this CD. This is truely one of Chante's best collections since her debut CD. I would have given it 5 Stars, but as they say, nothings perfect! Anyone appreciating exceptional vocals, meaningful lyrics, great arrangements and quality production should have this CD in their collection. Chante's covers of Minnie Ripperton "Give me Time" and Nancy Wilson's "Guess Who I Saw Today" are OUTSTANDING!

Out of the 7 Pure '80s CD's: Pure '80s #1, Pure '80s Hits, Pure '80s, More Pure '80s, Pure '80s Love, Pure '80s Rock, Pure '80s Dance, the original has the best hits of the '80s on it. The DVD series of Pure '80s is based on this 1980's music series. This is preformed by the original singers and it doesn't seem to have gay music on it. My top songs are Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This ( Eurythmics ), One Thing Leads To Another ( Fixx ), Obsession ( Animation ), Tempted ( Squeeze ). Pure '80s is a popular CD series and they have better than the others. '80s CDs that are by the countdown or starlite singers aren't the original and way worse. There are 20 songs on this and the number of songs decrease as it goes into the series. This is the first Pure '80s CD.
