In his ever expanding writing style to desribe the plight of the everday working man, his desparate need to create a hit record turns out one of the best albums of rock and roll and the best part is that you can hear his desparation through the singing. During the time of disco and progressive rock, it seemed as if rock would never be able to return to its roots, but Springsteen combined a big band sound or his own version of the 'wall of sound' with complex yet straight forward lyrics about escape for a better future. No better is this displayed than in the album opener, "Thunder Road," which serves as an invitation to the listeners to escape with the singer and Mary on that "dusty beach road."

As a Rod Stewart aficionado dating back to 1971, I was highly suspicious of this product, even dismissing it at one early stage as "drivel" ! However, I chanced upon a listen one evening at a dinner party and I have to say it is a recording of the highest quality. The music is immaculately played by session musicians of considerable experience and Stewart's vocal delivery is clear and appealing. Unlike many contemporary artists who have delivered a "swing album", Stewart goes back in many cases here, to the 1930s for his songs and produces something special.

I think the CD meets most of my expectations but it doesn't appear to be digitally remastered so it is a bit scratchie - but the mix of titles is great so no complaints.

Get this album, this is their 2nd live album and first with brian johnson. Brian is very good live. He even does a better job than bon scott. Brian is much better at singing Highway to hell. You can also consider it as a greatest hit album, a lot of their singles are on here but they are live. Also, to let you know this is a double cd, they have 2 different sets. A double which is this one and they have a standard one set cd

This is it. Dylan hinted at greatness previous to this but Bringing It All Back Home did just that when originally released in 1965. This set Dylan on a role of classic albums that wouldn't stop for nearly a decade. With minor exceptions of course.

What is most notable about Bringing It All Back Home is that not only did Dylan go electric but he learned the meaning of melody. Songs like graceful wanderer that is 'She Belongs To Me' the almost controversial, and always misunderstood 'Mr. Tambourine Man' and the elegant closer 'Its All Over Now Baby Blue' all carry melodies that would make The Beatles or The Beach Boys blush.

Great CD! With the tracks " Who made Who" and "You Shook Me All Night Long" you are going to rock! It also has the rock anthem "For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)". Great album and a great price. The Free shipping was great also.
