A great singer-songwriter that passed away but left some memorable music behind. A hint of the Beatles; his sweet, airy voice coupled with some great writing though dark reminds a bit of a new up-and-rising SS:Arrica Rose in her new album La La Lost. Take a listen.
Release Date November 25, 2003
I bought this disc in the hope that it would feature more of Jack Johnson's solo work. I was disappointed. The music is ok, but it is many different artists. It IS a soundtrack however, so I should not have been surprised. The music is not bad and is generally in keeping with the tone of most of Mr. Johnson's style. If you want more Jack Johnson, though, stick with his other discs.
Release Date March 11, 2003
Don't listen to the negative reviews of this cd it is one of the best and liveliest albums i've ever heard save for one or two songs. People just don't enjoy it because they're probably just the original fans of his early more simple music. The quality of Diamonds sounds like a pop album and it's great. The album just Hits its so diverse and has everything from Reggae to Jam Rock to Funk,Heavy Blues, an Italian love song with an accordion, to Spiritual songs inspired by World Music. I love all his stuff especially his newest cd Lifeline but this is one of my favorites.
Release Date October 25, 1990
I had bought the album back in the early nineties, before the cd era. I loved every little second of this entire album. It s the simplicity and the shoeless free spirit feeling this album inspires. I absolutely enjoy listening to Edie Breckel s little voice.
Release Date October 29, 2002
I love this disc. It would make my top 5 all time
should I be dumped on an island - and given the choice.
Pancake is my fav. tune on the disc but when I put it
on I never skip tracks, they are all worth a listen.
Many hard core Tori fans tell me Scarlets Walk is a
bit 'down to earth' given some of her other releases -
but regardless of what planet she is from...
This is great music.

This easily rivals her best music. She's having her playful laugh at herself fun again and it shows. See her live if you have the chance, best show I have seen ever! Very very few of today's ""stars"" can stand alone on stage with just a guitar for 90 minutes and capture an audience. I thought JEWEL was another pop star like all the whiners created by Hollywood and the "industry". Then when home from college my daughter left a Jewel album "this way" on my stereo. Imagine my surprise when I popped in the disk and this girl had real talent. She can flat out sing in several styles and with at least 4 different voices. The only person I know of almost this talented is Jeff Tweedy. Her lyrics and arrangements are all fresh and fun. I highly recommend this album. ... Read More:

This CD never gets old. I love a lot of the stuff that Aimee has done, but this is my favorite from start to finish. "Red Vines", "How Am I Different" and "Deathly" (to name 3) rank with Aimee's finest work--thoughtful, original lyrics set against highly melodic, catchy, almost Beatlesque rock. What strikes me about Bachelor #2 is how it stands up to repeated (and repeated) play. I buy a lot of music, and this is definitely one of my Top Ten of the last ten years or so. Take my word for it. If you like good music, you'll love Bachelor #2.
Release Date January 23, 1996
I wonder.
This is a great album. Not as catchy as most of her material except for "Caught A Light Sneeze" but the others are excellent. I bought a cassette version for my car (that came w/ a tape player!) and have listened to it over and over. It is becoming my most listened to album now. Good for long drives and even a quick trip to the liquor store!;-)
It is like a nice long and deep conversation w/ a good friend. A quiet, beautiful and sensitive friend. Listen with care. You are amazing Tori Amos.
Release Date February 28, 1995
Recorded during September and October of 1994 at Townhouse Three in Battersea, Polly Jean Harvey's second masterpiece "To Bring You My Love" is an everlasting piece of art. The record has garnered Polly a large cult following, a spot on end of the year lists, global recognition and it went platinum in 1995. It's no surprise--the material found on "To Bring You My Love" is brimming with potency and strength. Guitars, organ, vibes and E-Bow fuel the fire in "To Bring You My Love", the opener of all openers. It continues with the brilliant beat set by Jean-Marc Butty in the stomping "Meet Ze Monsta". Polly's demanding performance makes you understand that she means business--big time. "To Bring You My Love" marks the most confident vocal delivery of PJ's career.
