"To The Teeth" is another brilliant Ani album. "I Know This Bar" has to be one of the most beautiful songs ever! The album has a pretty dark and dreary tone to it for the most part, which works really well with some of the subject matters. There are also some heavier jazz influences that were hinted on "Up Up Up Up Up Up". The lyrics are top quality as usual. Amazing back up band! Amazing Woman!

Words cannot describe....if you love Mr. Yorn the way I do, you will love this recording. There is some great dialouge along with amazing renditions of all your and my favorite songs.

Costello has had a long and distinguished career as a singer/songwriter. In fact, he is such a good lyricist that like Bob Dylan, his talent sometimes is overlooked. I believe this CD gives a good survey of his early to middle work. One of my favorites here is 'Good Year For the Roses.'

First of all, i do not think this sounds like a return to ani's her and her guitar albums. But I do think this is possibly one of my favorite of her albums, especially when i am in that mood, it is kind of a low key album.
i really love animal...it proves that all the songs are not about a sad part of her life.
it is a different album, of course, but after a couple listens, i loved it!!

I agree with another member here. Crowded House are a lot of fun and highly enjoyable live. I have seen them up close and personal, years ago, in a small club. I also had the good fortune to seem them during the Woodface tour with Tim.

But this is in a whole different league...darker, more mature...and infinitely more interesting. Get the outstanding DVD 'Sessions at West 54th' for a great live performance of the major tunes from this disc.

The Only Reason I Feel Secure

This album may be my favorite Pedro album, even though it is an EP. What is so great about this album, as well as pretty much all their albums, is the diverstiy. They dont tire out one style of song, which is true even with this short EP. There are slow songs and faster songs, i mean, one must keep in mind that this is a rather downbeat band, but regardless, they do have more upbeat songs. I mean, compare "big trucks" to "invention"-which is one of my favorite Pedro songs. The writing on it is as good as anything David Bazan has done, and yet, it sticks out to me for some reason. From beginning to end, there is not one bad track, or even mediocre track, it is all very solid, and flows as well as all their stuff. Emotionally, probably as strong or stronger than their most popular album "Control."
