In my personal opinion every outstanding album has a surprise, a super, terific un-expected song that you just fall in love with. C'mon, you know what I mean. Think of your favorite CD, or your favorite song. It's not that I expected a super hit in a this CD, it's just that everything is so old. They just swaped and stole songs from other albums and soundtracks. Still a great album, I love every song! I just wish they put something in it that was recorded first for this CD, or at least recorded recently.

At first, I was excited to see it has been publish. But when I listened to it, I found that it was so different from my anticipation.
Before I listened to this, I thought all the songs with vocals would be the original versions in the movie. And I thought the instrumental versions are just like the background music in the original songs. But the songs with vocal in this album were not sung by the initial performers, then it made all these songs strange, and all the initial comical, romantic and wonderful feelings lost. The instrumental versions are not good either. Some vocals haven't been removed. What has been removed was only the principal vocal. You just can't go wrong with Veggie Tales. Bob & Larry are funny and the tunes are catchy. You'll both be singing them around the house. Also provides a good reinforcement of Bible stories throughout the week. Fun learning.

I usually could care less about these 'Kidz Bop' discs. They are just a bunch of tone deaf kids running around, acting like "pop stars" when, in reality, their living with their parents in a regular house.

But when they butcher U2's 'Vertigo' and Green Day's 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams,' that truly got me mad. U2 is one of my all-time favorite bands, and coming from a guy who owns a ton of their bootlegged concerts, CD-singles and all of their albums, this makes about as mad as you could possibly get. Why Bono, The Edge, Adam and Larry allowed this to happen is beyond me. If I were an artist, I wouldn't let these kids touch my music.

Little Mermaid and Friends

This has a few songs from the little mermaid movie, but a few others that we don't even recognize. Luckily, my Ariel-crazed daughter doesn't mind letting Ariel share the spotlight. The whole CD is pretty short, but I only paid around $6, so it's fine. I wish it had Ursula's song, though.

Shout Praises!: Kids I Am Free

I have downloaded almost every song from this album, and for the most part they are great. I really didn't like the version of "I Am Free" which was a bummer, because I really like that song. I use these with my children's choir. Every one I've used has been really well liked. My 2 year old loves these songs and asks for them again and again. My 2 boys really like them, too. I am about to order the split-track version. Anyway, whether for personal or church use, this a great CD.

I gave this cd to my 20 mo old twin granddaughters for Christmas. I put it on in the car for the 1st time yesterday and OMG they were rocking in their car seats. They adore the doodlebops and were moving their arms and legs and saying bops. Its a fun cd!
