This was my favorite album when I was growing up in the 70's. I rented the dvd a few months ago from netflix and watched it w/my girls. They loved the baby puppets!!! I ordered the cd so we could listen in the van and am ordering dvd for xmas. Yes, some of the songs are a little dated, but no more than everything else that's coming back from yesteryear. It is nice to share something from my childhood that my kids will actually admit to liking and not being too cool for mom's stuff.

I also grew up watching this movie and listening to the Chipmunks. I now have a 2 year old daughter, and it appears that she loves it just as much! She has regularly requested to watch this, and she loves dancing to the music! As a matter of fact, the past few days she has watched it at least 3 times a day, and I don't mind at all. It's so fun!

Okay, if I were looking for a CD of music that I enjoy I would not buy this. However, this collection of music is a purchase for my 18 month old daughter - and she LOVES it!

She especially loves hearing the children sing...yes, bad pronunciation and all. What children don't love to hear other children??? I'm not sure what another reviewer was listening to that made her feel the children on the CD's were not enjoying themselves. The children I heard seemed to be having a ball.

The entire collection of songs seem to be very upbeat and fun, without being obnoxious or overdone. Like many other reviewers' children, my daughter has memorized many of the songs. She also loves to flip through her Mother Goose book to find the ... Read More:

This CD has Spanish and English. I love that you get to hear the Spanish part right after the English in many cases. Then they do a word review after each song. The music is fun and happy.

Over all a good c.d.. We our mostly noggin watchers than nick jr but the theme tunes on the c.d are the shows that are on noggin.
The nick jr filler songs by a charcter named face my daughter and I don't know so my daughter is less intrested in those songs but great to have the songs my daughter loves to sing to, when they come on t.v

There is certainly a very lot to listen to here, and much of it is quite nice. However, it's a mixed lot! I like it best when the songs are actually sung by children, and sung in a straightforward way. Kids' voices singing Sunday School type songs is a lovely thing to hear. However, now and then there is a song that is sung by adults pretending to be kids---a prime example is "Children, Go Where I Send Thee". This one has adults singing in child-like voices, actually the voices of children with odd and disturbing speech problems! WHY does anyone think this is cute or funny? Let the kids sing! Mousercise

I agree this is not as good as the original Mousercise was. But it has good dance music to help you shed those unwanted pounds and will work to do that if you dance to it every day.
I would like to find the original again. When my son was just a few years old, we use to dance to the original Mousercise, and I lost 35 lbs. in just six weeks time. It was so much fun! And it will definitely bring back some great memories as well. Don't worry about the moves, just dance and enjoy yourself.

A great CD for any child. There are a few old familiar tunes (Baby Bumblebee, The Name Game,and Three Little Fishes) and a quite few new favorites (Pizza Pie Song, Way Down Here Beneath the Ocean, and I'm in Love with a Big Blue Frog). Our kids love to sing along.
