First of all. I think that Halpern is awesome! I love what he does; so I thought I would see what he would be about in terms of a collaborative kinda thing. OHMIGOD!I know some of you are going to want to hunt me down and shoot me for saying this, but to me this sounds like Kenny G on a good day (i'll give him that much).What is up with Paul McCandless? He seems to have MASTERED the smooth, fill up all of the spaces, twinkly dink horn sound. I picked this up thinking, "WOW, two people I really like playing together!--This should be amazing.Not...The worst part is that I did indeed hear some Oregon-Like, Very good horn riffs, yes, some real nice drum and also bass grooves...almost got me. I like this album very much because while listening to the music I noticed that my breathing has slowed down and I am transported into different state of mind where body can relax and rejuvinate.It works for me. Thank you Steven for excellent work.

I think its on tracks 4 and 5 that it sounds like the same song being played over. Don't get me wrong I love the beautiful music, and the sounds are out of this universe, but whenever i listen to this c.d. and I hear the start of track 5, its like deja vu. I might of not even noticed if it was spread out, but its right after another. Other than that little nit pick, this music is a gorgeous twist on already beautiful music. If you love mozart its a must have.

I expected to hear music that would help me stay focused and concentrate while reading (as the other reviews state will happen) but I didn't notice much difference, and some of the titles were hard to listen to - annoying actually. Definitely not the resource I'd hoped it would be after reading the other reviews.

I was surprised by this cd. It really seems to have an uplifting effect on the listener. The performances are energizing and beautiful. I highly recommend this gem. Perhaps, if more people listened to this type of this music the world would be a less chaotic and entangled ball of yarn.

Some guided meditation tapes I've tried use lots of visual scenes to create a peaceful feeling. Others give detailed instructions on how to breath etc. This one is so simple and easy, and that is what I like about it. It allows the listener to settle down without interfering and provides just wnough gentle hints to keep you on the right track.

Some of the meditations I have done with this CD are the among the deepest I have ever experienced in many years of meditating. It seems to work best when I stop trying and let whatever is happening to happen. Thanks Mary and Richard for this pathless path to inner peace.
