The urban groove chants do have a certain cool feel to them and after giving them a few listens, I've grown to really like them for mood music or even freestyle dance. The chants that are set to either the ambient music or are alone are very beautiful (the chanter has a gorgeous, deeply spiritual voice and intones well) and can be used to chant along with or to simply listen as one enters a deep meditation. I really love the writings of Lama Surya Das (nee Jeffery Miller) who writes about Tibetan Buddhism for a mostly Western audience and presents it well and without unneeded dogma (Tibetan purists probably are horrified at his approach, but I think the last thing Westerners who are curious about Buddhism need when they're exploring this faith ... I love this cd. The music and nature sounds are truly relaxing and transporting. Mr Markoe is a master at blending melodies and harmonies and creating a listening experience that has a clean and clear intent. This cd had the same effect on me as when I first discovered Alan Watts and the Watercourse Way.

I can't espress how much I love this CD! The Feng Shui tips are so easy to understand and impliment and the music is great. I highly reccomend it to anyone who has even thought about getting into Feng Shui.

I was looking for Tai Chi music and already own several Tai Chi and Qi Gong CDs. Most, however, are a little too lively or rhythmic for me and are sometimes distracting because of it. This CD is perfect for Tai Chi! It's slow, pacific and doesn't interfere with my concentration yet sets the mood. And no, I never was inclined to fall asleep while practicing. I highly recommend it for Tai Chi or Qi Gong background music

This CD has worked well for me in many ways. I was looking for a way to relax at the end of the day and the guided meditations and music provided a welcome relief. Especially nice is the progressive relaxation process: "Total Body Relaxation" which always results in my falling into a deep sleep.

The Mini Relaxation Break is good during the day for a quick refreshing pause to activity.

I highly recommend this CD, it lives up to the description.

After being in a clinic listening to grating music, I knew what I didn't want. It's much harder to find a collection of what you do want. I think this is gentle enough music that you could have playing all the time and not get tired of it. It's a continuous flow that helps you relax whether you're the person giving or receiving massage.

From start to finish, you will go into a relaxed alpha-theta brainwave state, drift-off, and wake up refreshed, clearer-headed, and in better spirits. I own several of his, as well as other meditation and ambient space music....this is among my favorites.

First of all. I think that Halpern is awesome! I love what he does; so I thought I would see what he would be about in terms of a collaborative kinda thing. OHMIGOD!I know some of you are going to want to hunt me down and shoot me for saying this, but to me this sounds like Kenny G on a good day (i'll give him that much).What is up with Paul McCandless? He seems to have MASTERED the smooth, fill up all of the spaces, twinkly dink horn sound. I picked this up thinking, "WOW, two people I really like playing together!--This should be amazing.Not...The worst part is that I did indeed hear some Oregon-Like, Very good horn riffs, yes, some real nice drum and also bass grooves...almost got me.
