I had bought the audio tape years ago after I attended a John Bradshaw/Steve Halperin Workshop on "The Inner Child." I have found the meditations to be very helpful. When I'm tired, scared, or depressed, I lay down and listen to either or both meditations. I may do this to get centered and/or receive messages from my "Higher Power." Listening to John's voice and message and Steven's gentle music also releases the stress in my body. The sound of Johns voice is very pleasant, a rich baritone.He has a way with words and a gift for speaking. I have several of Dr. Thompson's CD programs, and this is BY FAR the best. These CDs are perfect for improving creativity, inner peace, mood, focus, stress levels and relaxation. Though I typically prefer instrumental brainwave entrainment CDs, the power of the spoken words and the way they are presented in this collection seem to be far more effective. These CDs have produced fantastic results in my life.

A friend dropped off "Self-Healing" after I flipped off my bicycle going 45 mph and broke 8 bones in my neck, lower back and ribs. It has been wonderfully relaxing and soothing to listen to for hours at a time as I have been confined to a recliner watching the clouds float by and the roses bloom. It is hard to clearly remember any specific music passages as they formed more of an acoustic environment conducive to my resting and healing as opposed to being dominant musical pieces in themselves. As soon as I am done with this typing I will be putting it on again and taking a rest. Well cats and dogs, all i have to say is WOW!!!!!! if you don't get this cd as soon as you get the money, then i pity you. this is a very inspiring thing for any person. i was feeling so lonely and hopeless. my boyfriend broke up with me, my mom disowned me, and my cat died, but this can always brighten my day. If there is only 1 cd you buy in your entire life, then it should be Ben FOlds, but if there's 2, then buy another Ben Folds, if there's 3, for goodness sakes, get this one. I can't recommend it enough.....wait, yes i can. I just did...
