This is a Levon Helm entry that I missed somewhere along the way. Levon is, without a doubt, one of the great VOICES and DRUMMERS in the history of Rock 'n Roll. His style and presentation of almost thirty years ago is as good as ever and he has not lost his touch, even to this date!!
This CD is a bargain at twice the price! A MUST have for any collection.

Read Peter's review before reading mine. I agree with Peter in terms of the sound quality being poor. No argument, it is. (I'm a recording engineer so I think I know the difference). However, the musical content is awesome containing very high, focused and sincere energy. Buy this CD as you would buy an original Robert Johnson recording or an early Miles Davis album. You aren't buying it for the sonic quality but rather for the excellent musicianship and musical wonder.

Every few months, I make out a Top 15 "Desert Island" list of my favorite albums. There are a few who always make the top 10 and this BoDeans release is one of them.

Catchy melodies, great lyrics...with not a dull song in the bunch (you know the kind--you skip it on the CD player or leaving it off when you download the album on to your computer.

You can't go wrong with this terrific CD. The Strangest Kind is one of my all-time favorite songs!

Whenever other music starts getting on my nerves I can always put in a Chris Isaak CD and escape to something very good and different than what I normally like. Wicked Game is a great, well written and performed album and is one of my favorite by Isaak.

This is my favorite Isaak CD. It has a great sound-50's meets 80's production, great songs, and great presentation. This CD is really a must for an all night drive to Florida, or somewhere! I can just picture JW playing a Gretsch guitar with a Bigsby, through an old Fender amp with the reverb and tremolo turned way up. Very inspiring...

This record is not bad, but if you gonna buy a Theresa Andersson album, buy Hummingbird, Go! It's by far her best record! From what I have read, it's the first time she has written and recorded all the instruments herself. Which is maybe why it's so bloody brilliant!

I absolutely love this album. I bought it because I'd come across the movie somewhere in the back row of a video movie gallery, hidden out of sight. The movie was awesome and so is the music. It includes tracks by some of the best musicians around each of whom have lots of heart and soul.
