I like Led Zep a lot, also, I like Robert Plant as a solo artist.
I was surprised by the Coverdale Page album,I like it a lot.
I had big expectation for this one, Page and Plant again together...
It was a big deception. I don,t like the new songs, "No Quarter" is horrible, what a disaster ! I'll give my cd to somebody who, I hope, will like it.

You will have to search far and wide to find finer musicians. John and Jordan have a musical chemistry that is rare and priceless. If you are a fan of true musicianship, you will love this album.

Song to song, this is one of Joe's most solid and versitile releases. Songs like "searching" showcase Joe's mastery at taking the guitar to new levels while keeping the songs musical, unique, and only "showing off" where necessary. Always playing to the songs, and writing melodies most shredders would die to be able to create. Joe makes the electric guitar sound better than ever on this record. I've been a fan of Joe's for over a decade and this is my most played album by him, fortunate enough to catch him on this tour as well.

This is classic Jeff beck. I could listen to this albumn all day long. Roy's Toy and Nadia show off Jeff's great skills at playing the guitar. And Loose Cannon and Rosebud have compelling driving force behind the melody. This is NOT TRANCE - just great ROCK. Watch out for Left Hook, because you will get hooked. Oh, how I wish for another like this.

A return to form. Amazing guitar work, great tunes. The last great recent cd. Better than Love Grenade and Crave man. 4 stars.
Release Date October 25, 1990
While I like this album, it simply cannot stand up against their first release. Best songs here--"I Got The Fire"(great tune and monster guitar riffs by Ronnie Montrose, not to mention fine vocals by Sammy Hagar) and "Connection".Worth the listen but not a must have.Three and a half stars.
Release Date October 25, 1990
This album is more a lost cause than a lost classic.Shrapnel have not covered themselves in glory with their quality control on this release. The singing for all but the last 3 or 4 tracks sounds,at best, like guide vocals and doubling up with out-of-tune harmonies takes away any enjoyment of this album. As if that wasn't bad enough the drummer uses awkward patterns for at least half the songs and with a reverb on the fast numbers that drowns out much of the backing music. On my copy the opening track sounds as if the recording mikes were in the room next to the band - I was literally waiting for the "right sound" to kick in but this didn't happen.Perhaps the sound engineer or producer (or both)had their ears shot with the screaming guitars but the sound of the album is unacceptable ... This is by far my favorite Van Halen album to date. I can't say that I particulaly dislike any of the songs on this CD, and Balance has produced just as many favorites for me as all of VH's earlier ones combined, as well as my favorite VH performance, "Baluchitherium". Eddie Van Halen is in high gear all throughout this album, and even a casual Van Halen fan should be satisfied with his (as always) killer guitar solos; Sammy Hagar is as good as ever, although I'm sure that a lot of people won't care for the nonsense in "Big Fat Money",---regardless, I still love the song. "Can't Stop Lovin' You", "Amsterdam", "Big Fat Money", "Baluchitherium", and "Take Me Back (Deja Vu)" are all great songs and immediately found a place on my mp3 player; this album isn't perfect, but it sounds fresh ...
