Clapton returns in 1989 with another huge followup to his huge phil collins produced behind the sun (1985) & August (1986). This album was even bigger than those 2. The refreshed clapton of the 80s continued his modesty & invited a plethora of musicians including collins, cray, daryl hall, david sanborn, chaka kahn, ray cooper, george harrison, pino palladino, nathan east, phillinganes & many more to complement his playing. This album was made a little inconsistent by the fact that there were so many guest muscicians (typical of 80s clapton). Clapton loves playing with a diverse list of musicians. His buddy phil collins played drums on "bad love" & the same year clapton played on "wish it would rain down" on phil's #1 album ... Read More:

I regard Jimi Hendrix as one of the greatest artists of the golden age of rock; his debut album 'Are you experienced' is one of the great debut albums of the age, 'Live at Monterey' is one of the definitive rock performances of all time, and 'Axis: bold as love', 'Smash Hits', 'Band of Gypsys' & 'Electric Ladyland' rank among the finest rock albums of all time.
However, 'South Saturn Delta', a posthumous release of senseless studio jamming, should have been left in the archives or have been issued with a warning. I bought this album to complete my Hendrix collection. Sadly, that's about where it ends - the album completes my collection but never gets listened to.
The music consists rambling permutations and combinations of ... Read More:

Led Zeppelin's odds and ends album Coda was released in November of 1982.
How this album came to be, let's set the stage shall we.
In 1980, Led Zeppelin were riding high on the success of In Through the Out Door which was on its way to selling 7 million copies in the US alone (not bad for Zep standards and outsold Led Zeppelin 3 and Presence). The band toured Europe and were selling out venues nightly but then tragedy struck, drummer John Bonham passed away on September 25, 1980 as the band was rehearsing for a US tour. Over two months later, the band broke up after the death of Bonham whose style was hard to replicate and deemed him irreplaceable.
Throughout 1981 and 1982, guitarist Jimmy Page worked on the soundtrack to Death Wish II ... Read More:

I enjoyed the entire CD. Richie Sambora is not only a talented musician, but a soulful songwriter and singer. Listen to the samples and you will certainly want to add "Stranger In This Town" to your collection.

Ritchies soulful prowess of expression via the guitar is not lost here! Beautiful heart rendering passages of music, lyrics and vocals with Ritchie playing powerfully moving passages in and out. Listen carefully and you can here his famous Strat signature playing layered into the wall of sound!

I'm so happy so many young folks have discovered Carlos. So much of today's pop music is simplistic with a particular void in great guitarists. Where is the next Clapton, Stevie Ray, Carlos,, Duane Allman? The answer is: there are none! If folks want to listen to a great guitarist they have to listen to artists who started in the 60s and 70s.
The great song "She's Not There" is done in a couple of versions on this album. Carlos absolutely OWNS this song. There's lots of other great songs too.
The dealer got this to me quickly and without issue.

While Mick Jagger was busy making lousy records and even lousier movies during the Stones' late 80s' breakup, Keith Richards made this album with a group he called The X-Pensive Winos. Neither Stone would enjoy the commercial success they enjoyed in the band, but Keith won the critical battle easily. This album, featuring the Winos as well as guest stars like Bootsy Collins and Bernie Worrell, went back to the roots of what the Stones were all about, great rock and roll songs with R&B leanings. Check out the wonderful "Locked Away" and the incredible duet with Sara Dash, "Make No Mistake". There's rockabilly on "I could Have Stood You Up", a little funk on "Big Enough" and plenty of attitude on "Whip It Up" and "Take It So Hard". This album was a great return to "The Human ... I was really surprised by this cd it is a very good recording especially being a live concert I really like the version of Laya. The artists were the best of the time so that is why it is so good, you do not get top artists getting together like that any more.
