Michael Buble's remakes of various songs have invariably been successful. This CD is no exception. I highly recommend purchasing it.

I've had this album for a couple weeks now, and I can't stop listening to it. I'm finding that it has a lot more staying power for me than most albums seem to, due in large part to the narrative strain that runs through it as much as the genre-blending music itself. Obviously everyone who listens to an album like this will have a somewhat different response to it, but here are some my initial impressions of it:
The first song plays like a mission statement for the album, offering the fairly typical secularist ethical perspective that what some call "evil urges" are really perfectly natural and simply "a part of the human way", that "ain't evil if (they) ain't hurting anybody". The narrator (who seems to be an older version of the ... Read More:

This CD is my first exposure to Coldplay and I am at a loss as to why all the fuss over this band. Then again if you enjoy mainstream, commercial music this is for you.
Soon after inserting the disc into my player I removed it to thinking I had selected a U2 disc in error. No error had been made on my part.
The same vocals, the same maddening I feel like marching drum beat, the same simpleton bass lines, the same lack of substance on the guitar. Plain and simple, a ripoff of a commercially successful band from the past.

I don't know exactly where this album would rank on some kind of official list or a huge vote for the top 10 Heavy Metal albums, but on my website I ranked this timeless masterpiece 3rd behind Reign In Blood. I did have a really hard time deciding if it should be 2nd or 3rd though. Anyway, enough about that, here is my review.
FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE - This is easily one of the greatest album openers in heavy metal history and i love how Hetfield sings the song and the lyrics are great. The solo is very solid but nothing too amazing. My favorite part is probally the end of the song where they make it sound like a nuclear bomb is falling and then exploding, you can hear a rumbling sound at the very end like an explosion. A perfect ending to ... Read More:

Like most of the albums I have ever bought, "We Started Nothing" by the Ting Tings- was refreshingly different. I like the beats and the lyrics of all of the songs and the titles of the songs were very creative! I've already reccommended to my friends that they buy the cd.

I've been a Matthew Sweet fan since day two (Altered Beast) and I must say this album is poor. It's got a good song base but without any kind of professional producing it sounds like an album full of demos, these songs belong on one of his many bootlegs (Supervixen, Superdeformed 1 and 2). Professional production is not a bad thing, in fact it's what pushed Sweet to the top with "Girlfriend" and "100% Fun". These songs likely won't receive any airplay, and that's a shame because the song "Let's Love" would do good on certain radio formats had it only been cleaned up a bit. The vocals on this album are laughable, I've met Matthew a hand full of times and have been to many of his concerts. I know his voice is not that high pitched. When Sweet sings "Sit Down" ... If you're an Elvis Presley fan there is no need to go into the details of the music that gave birth to R&R - it's all here. Everything he recorded in the 1950s. If you were born in 1977 or later and only know of The King from hearsay, this box-set is a musical history lesson.
Adding to the lustre of this wonderful collection from RCA Victor is the multi-page book containing numerous photographs, record label reproductions, including the Sun 78 rpm issues, all his LP/EP covers, poster reproductions, a complete 1950s discography, and reams of fascinating liner notes by Peter Guralnick.
There is also an advertisement giving you a compete listing of Elvis videos, along with a sheet of 36 "collectable" stamps depicting his album covers.
