While it's always nice to hear a new one from Alice, this record is inferior in every way to his last one, which was a kickin' great fun rock and roll record with a great band, great songs and a cool nod to Detroit. It's a drag that fans always seem to await a return to the "Welcome To My Nightmare" period. That album had a (lousy) hit, but was nowhere near as good as "Killer", "Love It To Death" or "Billion Dollar Babies". Still, Alice rocks, and I'm enjoying this new one - just not as much as the last one.

Released in August, 1966, at roughly the same time the Beatles stopped touring for good, "Revolver" remains amazing in its sheer variety. The songs are all over the map: Paul McCartney pays tribute to Motown with the horn-driven "Got To Get You Into My Life"; Ringo sings about the joys of living in a "Yellow Submarine" (later the basis for their delightful third motion picture); George Harrison expresses his Indian interests in "Love You To" (and delivers a jab to the Inland Revenue with "Taxman"); and John Lennon explores his own head with "She Said She Said" and the astonishing "Tomorrow Never Knows", in which his voice, filtered through a revolving Leslie speaker, is combined with backward-masking to create an eerie masterpiece, unlike ... Steve still has it! Not a whole lot of broken ground here, but solid music with great percussion, and classic organ. His voice is still as good as when he was with Spencer Davis doing "Gimme some lovin". Nice surprise.

I love this CD! I love people like Buddy Holly and the Stray Cats so this music has a very nostalgic sound. I can't get enough of Vampire Weekend. I listen to the CD every night. My favorite song has to be Oxford Comma. Get this CD you wont be disapointed! :)

Years later, I'm still disappointed. Years later I still cannot listen to this album all the way through without cringing.

This CD is my first exposure to Coldplay and I am at a loss as to why all the fuss over this band. Then again if you enjoy mainstream, commercial music this is for you.
Soon after inserting the disc into my player I removed it to thinking I had selected a U2 disc in error. No error had been made on my part.
The same vocals, the same maddening I feel like marching drum beat, the same simpleton bass lines, the same lack of substance on the guitar. Plain and simple, a ripoff of a commercially successful band from the past.

Well this CD is not all that bad but the songs tend to have the same melody without little variation but if you like that kind of pop/rock. I tend to call these type of recordings pop/rock because the vocals sound more like a pop song but the music is more rockish. I am not really into this type of sound but I can relate but she is no Avril Lavine but her music could be compared to artist in that catagory.

Just went to New York City and saw the Broadway Show.
The Jersey Boys. Wonderful performance, so had to

Brings back memories that are good!
