I loved every single slipknot album to come out, even the "sophomore slump" as many called IOWA to be. So I heard the Psychosocial single and could not possibly wait for Slipknot to put some energy back into the metal of day that has gone soft and emo. God, I was so wrong. You'll probably love this album if you're a stone sour fan, but I do not like them, and this could easily have been a stone sour album and I wouldn't have known the difference. Like I said, they tried to fool the maggots with a couple of heavy tracks in the begenning, but you'll go..."huh?" as they continue to give soft lyrics to a hardcore band. Dont even bother listening to track 12 unless you want to hear how bad Slipknot can be.

A thousand reviews? I only can echo the majority. This is simply another masterpiece from the greatest band that ever cut a record. These four were in a class by themselves. The Beatles and then there were all the others. Abbey Road blew everyone away when it came out and still is an experience and not just a set of songs put together for listening to while you run the vacumn cleaner. I always think of some of the assertions that have been made about Shakespeare when I take in the entire catlog of the Beatles. It seems impossible that one small rock combo could come together and create art the way they did the same way that so many people can't imagine one person writing as many classics as Shakespeare did. After continually hearing Daughtry on the radio at work, and liking the songs that I heard, I decided to purchase the CD. VERY wise choice on my part. The CD is great! It's been in my CD player since it arrived about a month ago, and it won't be coming out anytime soon.

I've been waiting for an album like this one for years. It was something that I dreamed the Beach Boys would attempt, a concept album about California and their rise to fame. They came close on the great album "Holland" but not close enough for me. Carl, Al and Dennis, I know would have been game for it and they could of recruited Brian easily. Then Dennis and Carl died. The band under the commercial control of Mike Love turned into an oldies machine and even Al left disgusted. Like a Phoenix risen from the ashes Brian not only resurrected and completed Smile but he has followed it up with "That Lucky Old Sun", my old dream realized at last. This album was "recommended" to me by Amazon.com presumably based on my history of purchases. Well Amazon, you got it dead wrong. This is 100% country, and if you like that, fine, but if you don't, run don't walk.

I listened to the sample tracks here on Amazon and was intrigued by Amy Macdonald's sound. I am so glad I decided to take a chance on this CD. It has become one of my new favorites. There really aren't any tracks I don't like, which is unusual. Great rhythm, thoughtful lyrics, and her voice is just mesmerizing. Take a chance on this CD, I don't think you'll regret it!

This is a great Aerosmith 2 cd hits package,cross licencing from different labels gives us a nice career spanning collection!!! Sure a few hits my be missing,but thre's still lotsa great stuff here to enjoy,and most people own the original Columbia Greatest Hits,and Gems colletions,etc anyway Still with its modest shortcomings I still recommend it!!! Oh Yeah!!! A+
