The structure of this doc gives the illusion of being casual and free flowing, but it's a clever structural ride taking us thru Joe Strummer's emotional journey as a struggling artist, cultural hero and disappeared recluse. While it is sort of organized around a 'wake-like' celebration (a sort of street assembly featuring sing-along hootnany clips and open fire-barrels) it's really about Joe's motivations and response to how his political committment is slowly co-opted by the system that he tried to subvert. Temple's directorial effort here - which utlizes lots of stock footage, present-day recollections and Strummer's radio show (as voice overs) is really good. Its been almost 5 years since Gavin Degraw's first cd "Chariot." I remember being blown away by Gavin Degraw when i first heard his album. Over these past five years I have found myself coming back to Chariot every so often and wondering to myself when I'd be lucky enough to hear some more Gavin. Here it is...

"In love with a girl", the first single off of Gavin Degraw is an alright song in my opinion, along the lines of "I don't wanna be" from his first album. However, once again his best work comes out in the remainder of the album. Songs like "Untamed", "Young Love", "Cop Stop", "She holds a key", and "We belong together" are all amazing. The earlier works of the Black Keys were fantastic. I really didn't know what to expect when I was picking up Attack & Release. After hearing that the Black Keys would be working with Danger Mouse, I was a little worried. Was the Black Keys raw style of blues rock coming to an end?

After listening to this album multiple times I grew to appreciate the new direction the Black Keys were going. In my opinion this album is near flawless. While Danger Mouse's touch is noticed, it is not overbearing. Attack & Release not only surpassed my expectation but now I am excited to hear their next release. The Black Keys followed a artistic progression and nailed it.

This CD was AMAZING! It may not be the best Beatles album (Help! and Rubber Soul are, in my opinion), but it's The Beatles, so of course, you gotta love it! 5/5 stars!

We loved this Jimmy Hendrix CD. We found some 8mm video tapes that my husband took while he was in Vietnam in the 70's. We sent the tapes off to have them put on a DVD and had them put the Jimmy Hendix cd as the background music. It turned out great !!! Brought back a lot of good and bad memories !!!! CD was worth every penny we paid for it !!!

While the lead singer has the same raspy sound as Hinder and Nickelback, the songs are still quite catchy. Music is in a rut right now where everything sounds the same, but its repeating the days of Kenny Rogers and Bob Seger(who to me sounded alot alike). If you like Hinder, Nickelback, Buckcherry, ect...then you will like this band.
The songs do sound generic but I catch myself humming them and its not too bad. But if you do not like the named above then dont bother because you wont like it at all. The album cover alone should scream Hinder, ect. Not all the songs on here are like Addicted...I promise. That one is just wrong and annoying.

The sisters are so much better live in concert. They haven't aged a bit. I saw them at the Oregon state fair 2007. What an awesome, flawless performance.......Tanya
