Loose, Loud & Crazy

CD-Charts > Music > Roadhouse Country
by: Kevin Fowler

Release Date August 03, 2004
If you enjoy "Real" Country music, look no further...Kevin deserves any success that comes his way....Something a lot of country fans don't know is that Kevin used to be a long haired rocker! He played guitar for a hard rock band from Austin,TX. called Dangerous Toys in the early 90's...I got to see them live Halloween night 1993 at Austin's legendary (now defunct) Back Room. After Dangerous Toys, Kevin formed his own Southern Hard Rock band called Hellhounds, which later changed to Thunderfoot. They released 1 cd called Southern Discomfort (if you like Southern rock, look for it, it's out of print and hard to find, but worth the trouble!).

Come on Back

CD-Charts > Music > Roadhouse Country
by: Jimmie Dale Gilmore

Release Date August 16, 2005
I love this CD, it's a great Austin-Mafia album of country oldies, and what I can add to the positive comments below is that the band is in on the mission to get that beer-and-sawdust sound of a country dance band on a hot summer night. They all speak the language, and its a lot of fun to listen, and even dance to. I especially love the way Gilmore lets "Blue Yodel #9" sing itself.... "Weeeell, she walked into the joint with a 44 in each hand...."

by: Lefty Frizzell

Release Date January 28, 1997
i had ordered this product on 12/02/07 and did not receive it until after 1/18/08. the order was placed early enough to be received (i believed) before christmas. in the meantime i noticed the same item for sale at the same price at wal-mart stores as a main display. because i was already committed to the order i was not able to cancel and make the wal-mart purchase in time as a christmas gift. otherwise the product is wonderful.

CD-Charts Music : Bring It On

Bring It On

CD-Charts > Music > Roadhouse Country
by: Kevin Fowler

Release Date September 25, 2007
Pat Green is the king of modern Texas Country but Kevin Fowler should be right on his heels now that "Bring It On" has hit the stores. I thought KF would be running out of ideas and I was hesitant to buy this new release thinking he may have already written and sang his best stuff. Quite the contrary.. It would be one thing if KF could only WRITE funny, witty, sarcastic, catchy songs. But the thing is he can also SANG ! "Long Line Of Losers" got some radio play and "Best Mistake.. " is getting played out already, but those aren't even the best songs on here. "Ain't Dead Yet" is the only song I would care to discard from the disc. His duet with George Jones is great but George needs to hang it up. Of course a KF cd wouldn't be complete without jabs towards ... Read More:

CD-Charts Music : The Tour Collection

The Tour Collection

CD-Charts > Music > Roadhouse Country
by: Dolly Parton

Release Date July 01, 2008
"The Tour Collection" is a limited edition 4CD set to celebrate Dolly's current tour of Europe. What makes this one interesting is that there aren't a lot of hits on here. You won't find "9 to 5", "Here You Come Again", "Jolene" or any of the other hits that fill up most collections. Instead what you get are a ton of album cuts with a few hits thrown in here and there. The set is split into four discs, "Love", "Covers", "Mountain Memories" and "Duets". The Duets disc is the most interesting in that combines tracks that had guests singing with her and tracks in which she was the guest. As a result you get tracks that only appeared on the other artists albums.
What I like about this collection is that doesn't focus on the hits, it's got a bunch of obscure ... Read More:

What's Wrong with Right

CD-Charts > Music > Roadhouse Country
by: Hacienda Brothers

Release Date June 27, 2006
Western soul. First two tracks are more than worth the price of the CD, but the bonus is the Westernized versions of Cry Like a Baby, and, most especially, Cowboys to Girls. Gaffney's deservedly legendary, warm, rich voice and very nice arrangements. Lots of fun. Had a party where people ranging in age from five to mid-sixties got up and boogied to some of the tunes. But we, well at least us oldsters, all sat back and jiggled our feet and nodded our heads to Cowboys to Girls. I remember.
