Everybody knows that reggae is the punk rocker's preferred style of World music, but Strummer was at home in any third world culture. He certainly sounds at home on this CD, playing straight-up traditional, acoustic Central American music, almost all of it instrumental (with three or four terrific vocal tracks)--even more at home than he ever did on any reggae/dub/rap song he did with the Clash. For me, the Walker soundtrack provides a total foreshadowing of the kind of music he would make later with the Mescaleros, espeically on Global A-Go Go. But this CD is not just an interesting artifact for the Strummer scholar; it's also a very enjoyable listen. Strongly recommended for fans of Strummer and fans of largely-instrumental soundtracks ... 1. Por un beso tuyo: First track on the album and also the first one we see the jibaro influence. Is a0 midtempo song that talks about what a man would do just for a kiss. The cuatro sounds beautiful here and also i believe there could be a slight reference to Tommy's relationship with Karla Monroig. ("Vengo con la nostalgia de mi tierra y su arrullo,
y siento que regreso mujer, con cada beso tuyo.") The song doesn't say anything new, but the way he says it makes the song work. This would be a good choice for second single considering the fist single was a ballad, and this track offers the jibaro influence Tommy has focused on so much in this album. 4/5

First off, I love this DVD. It is a great compilation of Alejandro's videos that allows the viewer to literally watch him evolve from a skinny drink of water, singing mostly traditonal ranchero songs, into a self-assured, sexy, cross-over pop singer who has obviously spent time both in a gym and in a recording studio, training his body and his voice to their peak performances. He's a joy to watch and a greater joy to listen to. His emotion is always right out there, lending a depth and honesty to the lyrics of every song. Mini-movies with exceptional "soundtracks" is the best description of this DVD...it's one you'll watch again and again. The inclusion of his live rendition of "Abrazame" is another real treat.

All I can say is that I absolutely loved it! I have fallen in love with Marco!!! I highly recommend all his Cd's. Marco Antonio Solis has an amazing voice and can honestly say he is the best singer ever!

My wife is a fan of Luis Miguel. When I saw this 2 CD set I had to get it for her as a surprise. The one surprised was me. I think Luis Miguel is one of the very best male vocalists alive today. His sheer power and mastery of music is outstanding. His CDs sound like his concerts. He belts it out with all he has when he sings live.

I recommend this CD for guys to buy for their wives and girlfriends. It will really go a long way as a gift. If you saw the Luis Miguel concert, it will bring back a really enjoyable concert experience.
